  1. @Peskanova Also when removing the heatsink the cpu came off the socket. It went into the other mobo socket with no problem which means there were no bent pins. I didn't check for missing pins though. The PC seems to be working fine (Apart for some BSODs, I've got 2 so far but I think that has to do with the android emulator, haven't gotten any before I installed it yesterday). How probable is it that a pin came off the cpu and stayed in the socket in your opinion? EDIT: WhoCrashed says the BSODs are most likely related to GPU drivers. There's probably something not perfect, I have installed CUDA toolkit and using the GPU for an emulator so that's probably quite normal. Those shouldn't be related to a hypothetic missing pin. So with no crashes yet, would you say it's possible that the pc is working without a pin?
  2. @Peskanova RMA'd psu and mobo. Bought a surge protector, an EVGA supernova g3 650W and an asus strix b350f. Finished swapping everything two days ago. No crashes yet.
  3. When placing the cpu on a new mobo I need to remove the thermal paste with isopropyl alcohol and apply something like arctic mx4 right? I think I'm getting a SuperNova G3 550W and an Asus Strix B350F
  4. Yes they are the back ports. I think they got fried by a xbox controller. Other ports are fine. I dunno if this is related to the black screen but could be.
  5. I've created my first build last july. Lately it's been giving me this annoying issue. Basically I'm playing some games such as overwatch or gta v and out of nowhere the pc gives me a black screen and restarts with no BSOD or any warning whatsoever. I'm pretty sure this only happens with games and demanding tasks, I've never had this sort of crash while browsing the web yet. I have not overclocked anything. Here's what I've tried so far: Updating the gpu drivers Uninstalling the gpu drivers with DDU and installing a stable version Resetting the BIOS to default settings Clearing the CMOS using the jumper I was thinking about returning both the mobo (which has 2 fried usb ports) and the psu to solve the issue. Do you have any other idea why this is happening or what to do? Thanks in advance
