  1. Quite a hard question and it really depends on the games you play. As far as future proofing goes i would recomend you upgrate the brains of the computer (cpu, ram, mb). Some games are not that cpu intensive and mostly stress out the gpu and vice versa. So it realy depends on what you play, but the 270 is quite slow for todays standards. Still i stand by upgrading the heart of the computer before upgrading the gpu since you will not be able to unleash the full potential of any modern game with that processor. And it is easier to swap the graphics card out in the future, if you have all of the bassis cared off. So to get to your question in summary: You will notice more fps increase if you change out your graphics card, BUT in cpu intensive titles, you will experience frame drops, stutters and generaly bad gameplay experience if pairing a new graphics card with the fx. So imho, upgrade the cpu, ram and mb0
  2. Man i wish we had that kind of prices here. The cheapest blower one i could find was 1320e which is 1470 dollars
  3. I can afford it but its still on the steep price side. I think il just wait for next gen thanks everyone for the feedback!
  4. Just what i was considering, seems its not as much of an uplift looking at the benchmarks that would justify the price
  5. I usualy upgrade for the thrill off it (always loved to have the best graphic cards in my rig), this is the only time i am facing a dilema becuse of the price to performance ratio. Previous generations seemed a lot more "performance gained" if you know what i mean
  6. Hi, so i am asking all the 2080ti owners (preferably ones who had the 1080ti beforehand). I am looking in to upgrading but the prices are insane (1400€ which is i believe 1500/1600 dollars for a asus dual version). I like great visuals, dont really need much more than 60fps. I play on 1440p. So the question is is the upgrade worth it from a 1080ti or is it better to wait for next gen cards? Thanks in advance
  7. Must say the game that i was most happy to play this year was NFS: Heat. Nothing revolutionary or anything but dam did it bring up some good oll' memories with the atmosphere.
  8. I wrote in the post that my framerate drops significantly compared to DX12, without the stutter so please read the post
  9. Hello everyone, I know this has probably been posted a gazzilion times everywhere but bare with me here. I have started Battlefield V after almost half a year and noticed hectic stuttering in DX12 (singleplayer and multiplayer). The stuttering only occurs in DX12 mode. My PC specs are as follows: -Ryzen 3600x @ 4.2y AIO cooled -32GB Ram @ 3200Mhz -installed on SSD drive -ROG Crosshair VII hero mb -Strix 1080Ti Also tried the game on my brothers PC with the same stuttering occuring -Ryzen 1600x @ stock -crosshair VI hero -16GB ram @ 2666Mhz -MSI GTX 1660Ti First of all, temps are good on both systems. Tried: -Fresh Win 10 installs; multiple versions ranging from 1607 -1909 -No background programs running -Multiple hardware drivers (GPU, MB, etc…) -disable HPET -clearing standby memory -all possible fixes mentioned everywhere. Now first off all, before I progress any further, let me just say that both games are legaly purchased on 2 seperate accounts on both of the PCs through origin (I have the deluxe edition since I have origin premiere membership). So I was thinking how to roll back the updates and after running out of ideas I found a base build game on the internet that I could try out (let me just say I don't condone piracy, all my games are legaly purchased, so if I own the game I don't think there is anything illegal here/against the forum rules). And what do you know, that base build game runs perfectly on DX12. So what am I missing here, is this another EA type bull**ap where we purchase a game and than they make it unplayeable with updates or what. So to sum up: -newest build of the game is unplayable due to stuttering/freezes every 2 seconds multiplayer and singleplayer -old build (downloaded from the web) smooth as butter (cant try multiplayer duh) Also forgot to mention the in-game options (not that anything changes with lowering the settings except if you put it in DX11 the stutter stops, but the framerate drops noticably) -1440p -all ultra -DX12 -FFR off -scaling 100% Any help, ideas or info greately appreciated and sorry for the long post :) Cheers
  10. Just my thoughts and yes i remember the gta implementation now that you mention it same shi*
  11. Hi fellow members! I am getting sick of this black ops 4 aura implementation. I have a rog crosshair vii hero, 4 sticks of trident z rgb memory, 3 rgb fans and an rog asus 1080ti. Whenever i start the game it changes to that sh*tshow which i would let pass but the idiotic implementation has one major flaw. Even if i disable prepherial lightning in settings it doesnt change my trident z nor my keyboard (rog claymore) to its defaulted rainbow settings when i exit the game. Worse than that it even shuts down the rgb on the keyboard and ram completely so everytime i exit the game i have to go in to aura and resync and desync everything to get them back to normal. Is there any workaround to this problem, i dont remember ticking any fu*king aggrement to let the game fu*k around with my lightning. It just pis*es me of with these stupid implementations that ruin an otherwise good game
  12. Hello fellow members, I have a question for the ROG Strix 1080Ti owners (i have the non oc model). Bought it a while back (second hand used for 3 months). The card wasnt for mining but purely gaming and bought of a friend. Yesterday i bought a riser cable since i have a case that supports vertical gpu mounting, and one thing i noticed was that both the outside fans start spinning at the same time, but the center fan starts with a 1 or 2 second delay. after that all fans spinn all of the time until the 0db feature kicks in again. There is no sign that the center fan bearing is shot or anything it spins freely if spinned by hand, and the max temp the gpu reaches is 69 celsius in a closed case in a heaven benchmark loop. My question is is this normal or am i having a problem with my center fan. Thanks in advance for the answers
  13. As far as gaming goes i would recomend the 1060. Non of these will be able to push 4k at high details. As for why its just my personal experience
  14. I havent bought it (will probably skip this generation alltogether since it seems more like prototype technology than anything else, and its totaly overpriced) but the cheapest in our country i found was a tad over 1450e which i believe is nothing less than insane. Found the rog 2080 (not the ti) for 1230e. And yes im talking in euros which for the ti version is about 1700 us dollars. The prices are off the charts
  15. I actualy like what you did with the tubing it king of goes with the agressive theme of the motherboard. And i just love what youve done with the tiles looks super clean. Cant wait to se the finished product
  16. You litteraly just counted the worst optimized games. I get stuttering on bo3 too and i mean unplayable stutter. A bit of stutter is present on ww2 also. And rottr (specialy the benchmark in the second scene) is a stuttery mess when you get to the russian compound and geothermal valley. Shadow of the thomb raider has been fixed. I fixed most of the stutters except for bo3 and rottr by reverting win 10 to 1607. So try that first. I have a ryzen 2700x with 16gb of trident z and aorus gtx 1080
  17. Must agree apart from the ocassional stutter (caused by optimal performance mode in nvidia control panel, and fixed by setting max performance) the game performs exceptionaly well and the graphics are very nice. Very emersive and must say one of very few games that makes me wanna complete the story
  18. would agree that its the best looking one in the franchise, but even on a 240hz monitor (not that i get 240fps but still) i find it very very hard to see other players because there is so much effects happening on the screen at once. and as the OP said something just doesnt feel right. i get the realism movement factor but it just feels sluggish or something. otherwise the performance is great on my behalf but im running on Windows 10 1607, not the newest 1803 built. this is a kind of game that would more or less interest me for the singleplayer aspect, and even then more in therms of graphics quality than anything else
  19. is there even an option to switch bettwen dx 11/12? anyways i had mayor problems with stuttering in bf1 and bfv on a ryzen 2700x and gtx1080. tried everything and finaly got feed up with it last night. i had Windows version 1803 and reverted it to build 1607. all of the stuttering in both games is gone now
  20. i have had corsair vengeance rgb 3000 mhz cl 15 ram on my 1600x and on my 2700x, and i always had problems (not with booting but just could not set the proper timings on a crosshair vi hero). then i bought Trident z rgb 3200 mhz cl16 (ryzen compatible) and presto loaded the xmp profile working flawlesly.
  21. i have been reading that Windows is causing stuttering in games but ive also read that build 1803 should be fine. so there's that. the riser cable 100% isnt the issue since i tried the games without it and the issue still persisted. as a matter of fact the issues were there before i even bought the riser cable
  22. Hi fellow members, Im just about going nuts here ive changed just about every component in my pc and i still have problems so i wanna know are these Windows problems, or game related. The problem i am having is stuttering in many games. Games that run fine: Nfs Most Wanted 2012, Destiniy 2, The Division, Doom, RS Siege, GTA V, Deus EX Mankind devided Games that stutter; Tom Clancys Wildlands, PUBG, BF1 (even in dx11 but only starts after a couple of matches otherwise it works lag free), NFS 2015, NFS Payback, ROTTR, FO4 (sometimes runs fine sometimes stutters slightly) My specs are as follows: -Ryzen 2700x (stock, overclocking doesnt get rid of the stutter) -NZXT kraken x62 AIO -Cooler master H500P case -Gskill Trident Z RGB 16 gig 3200MHz (ryzen compatible) in dual chanell (2x8) 16-18-18-38 -ASUS Rog crosshair VI hero wifi ac -3x Samsung 960 250gb ssd, and 1tb seagate barracuda -EVGA gq650 gold certified power supply -Vertically mounted Aorus GTX1080 Xtreme (with thermaltake risesr cable, so the stuttering is not due to the riser) -asus rog 240 hz monitor (Yes i use gsync but the stuttering happens without it also) Anyways temps are fine cpu doesnt exceed 60 celsious while gaming, same goes for the gpu (i dont have a side panel on during summer so it is getting fresh air from outside of the case), tried multiple Windows reinstals (win 10 build 1803), newest drivers. Event timer disabled via comand promt, c6 state disabled, fast boot disabled, power options on ryzen balanced, disabled game mode via registry, disable defender via registry, no background processes running ( except for the vital ones), Even tried without turbo boost and SMT which made no difference. I am getting out of ideas, has anyone had similar problems with a similar system that can help? Thanks in advance everyone
  23. I dont even understand why these topics are being opened. Everything is a guessing game until real benchmarks come out, youre just asking for answers that cannot be given at thus point of time. It has been told numerous times and all the main tech reviewers said it dont preorder the cards cuz nobody knows what they will be like and if the new raytracing technology will be worth it in this generation. Now sit back, and wait for real benchmarks to come out, and stop looking for answers that just can not be given
  24. The thing is the cinebench and 3d mark scores dont seem to be bad. I get about 1800 on r15 with the ryzen 2700x. The graphics score also looks about right in 3d mark. As for pubg... dont even get me started on that horrific unoptimized piece of sh*t game that made me want to scratch my eyeballs out. Its not your system as far as pubg goes its just a lag/stutterfest experience. The games these days are so rushed it seems like they are taking performance problems for granted. So i would say your system is fine.
  25. Seems like cam is reporting Tmax as the current temp thanks for the answer bro
