  1. what would be the best version of windows 10 that i can optimize and debloat. i need to get me an iso to install on my new build. will be running intel and nvidia if that helps
  2. well from what i am reading to my new found knowledge is simple a well bind chip may yes undervolt well but if not it will need to be a little of both ends. then again it was mentioned intel tenth gen undervolt well if that holds true that would be nice as i need a lot of single core performance
  3. but i asked what is the best medium undervolting and not lowering the PL2 or lowering the PL2 or can i do a little of both or just limit the time it goes in pl2 with undervolting. lots of combinations to think of. i just want to get the as close to the original performance with the lowest impact. kind of what dirty miners do
  4. so do you know which option/options will get the most out of the cpu. i have the msi gaming wifi z490 motherboard if that helps and gskill trident z and i know i will only be dipping the timers on the ram a sliver and boosting it to 3600 as it already a 3466. as i know ram can affect cpu stabability
  5. i have a 10400f and only the PL1 goes 65 when it does its' short sustained PL2 it can go over 120 watts check the link out https://www.world-today-news.com/comet-lake-s-when-a-65-becomes-a-224-watt-cpu/
  6. no it was $10 usd a month i think you read it wrong that is how much i saved on average
  7. if you say so i will have to wait a while but i will get it thanks johnny, i just need to buy my mother a clothes washer first. then the meter. your name says it all
  8. that is why i am debating if a stable undervolt will get me more performance then power limiting. i am looking for a good medium between the 2 and if undervolting is going to yield more siignifigant power saving vs performance loss i will take that.
  9. what do you mean charge what... that is how much my monthly bill changed and i have a 40 inch monitor and use it 8+ hours a day
  10. but if i undervolt it can give me the same performance or little loss for less electricity used so i was debating in my other post to just stop the cpu from going into PL2 or undervolt it
  11. odd i figured over my laptop playing games vs my pc doing daily activity i would add at least 10 usd a month i went down from 34-36 usd to 24- 26 usd using a laptop and that is playing games on it too
  12. not true i need windows 10 to use my motherboard and cpu for one thing and to use some of the applications i want to use
  13. so how much does that add to your electric bill over stock settings
  14. looking to save power. i upgraded to save electricity but if that was the case i should have gone amd. i did not want more then 95 watts and the PL2 in the intel runs over 120 longer then i would like. i figured it normally ran 65 watts but that was till i saw ttechpowerup up that mentioned it can go over easily. i am upgrading from a 95 watt version of the phenom 2 1045t and due to binning it used 103 watts that is a lot less then what the intel i5 10400f is going over
  15. well will keep looking into it still open for suggestions. the one suggested 149 usd seems no more efficient then a cheaper one under 50 usd
