What if you have a cheap server with 128gb+ ram (well under 200$)
Using some kind of ramdrive software on the server....
with 10 gigabit connections..
Can you use this drive to run another rig with faster than nvme SSD speeds?
ITs wasteful but interesting. for such a small amount 120gb of (128) but Why not? Although not the fastest ram.. server ram is the cheapest and ECC!
I suppose the ramdrive could be loaded from server HDD copy and somehow be updated as ramdrive software does...

the whole setup would be cheaper than buying 128+ram for a newer capable non server PC... and would beats ram limit of older systems as long as you had 10gigabit network cards

Im no computer geek. i work(and play) 7 days a week 12hr days in my store. playing on hp ap5000 cash registers (ddr2 4gb/2.8ghz core duos) ... my personal computers are crappy but 1st world problems... gobookII, motion le1600, le 1700. samsung 700T, some i3 tower with the work printer on it. hahaha
