I would agree - until I bought one and learned how to convert to ATX with a simple $7 purchase - the mobos are very good, the PSU's that come with them are very good until you need to draw more power than that can give (Lite On is amazing platinum PSU's - I can run a GTX 1060 6gb from the proprietary 320w PSU by pulling 1x sata power from each sata rail provided into the 6pin connector - with everything connected load on PSU is just below 100%  - however I will be doing that with my 7 dollar cable when I decide to splurge on a 1060 for my TV lol.

Some msi mobos HV pretty bad vrms and caps...so I rarely suggest msi budget boards...also that psu... that ur computer store is offering is pretty crappy..
Ryzen apus benefit from faster dual channel memory

Having digital copies of your notes must be nice. I always lost my notes, or had them super disorganized into one fat notebook.

B450 pro4 doesn't need a bios update.....it's b350 pro4 that needs a bios update
It isn't that problematic anyways.....ASRock bios is pretty easy to navigate

Ans.1 Better caps...better vrms...better for over clocking...also b450 pro4 has 4 ram slots....while the one that u HV mentioned above has only 2
Ans.2 Get some cheap led fans from Corsair...they are good

From my experience it’s better to write things down on paper. You can more easily draw tables and sketches that way as well. Computers are immensely distracting on the other hand. Because the internet. And typing is very restrictive, it makes science courses with formulas a nightmare to write down. 

Masterwatt 550 is a solid psu...I have it in many of my clients PC's...I haven't received a single complaint yet...

If you see a personal add (local adds Facebook, Shpock etc), then you could go see the hardware. I've had good results from Shpock, as I turn up see the person is a DJ upgrading his old setup, Young Dad/Father upgrading his gaming PC, and the actual hardware is good. Got a 1050ti, though not an amazing deal, had a few quid off, and was almost new because "I got it at christmas, now got my bonus and got a 1080 instead".
 
Though I did have 1 person sell me a dud (manufacturer defect) SSD.

I'd stay away from eBay. Look towards Facebook marketplace. I have seen some great deals there.

Upgrade the graphics card

the old stereo amps will not do virtual surround but realistically it kind of works in the right conditions as you need to have walls facing the right direction to reflect the sound so it sounds like it coming from behind.
 
But in reality its more like a gimmick especially in the price range you are looking for.
 
The approach i mention is a little more future proof for whenever you want to expand you system, i have gone from a pre build 5.1 setup that broke after a year to a self build setup and the total cost was about 1000€ for everything.
 
the good thing is you dont need to buy everything at once, good stereo speakers alone make a huge difference compared to the TV speakers.
Also once you have the funds and space to get standing speakers for the front you may not even need a sub if the speakers have a good bass already.

Why has the steam controller not been mentioned? It's functionally equivalent to a PS3/PS4/XB360/XB1 controller for games that use controllers, but then you can also totally remix and customize it for games that don't... The track pads take a bit to get used to, but once you do they're waaaaaaaaaaay better than analogue sticks. Plus gyro aiming for fps. >:)

If Linus or Luke have extra time, they can record their own voices and be the voice of Waze. I'd pick the Linus voice because his voice will keep me awake when I have to turn left.

Else I always imagine a "intelligent" navi... one that after you ignore it 3 times in a row just shuts up and says nothing, then when you ask why? it just answers "why should I tell you? you don't listen to me!"
