  1. How does microsofts dick taste? unlocking a feature that dosent come with it is borderline piracy and i yes i know i own a license you need to hop off your high horse do i care enough to 100% properly articulate my point? no cause i dont know you and i can already tell id hate you, they leave everything but the actual application in the operating system, TECHNICALLY i own a licence to every copy of windows since 98' (i own my own business and so did my father, we both use servers to connect our terminals and i have physical copies of every basically every edition home to server) my father before he passed preferred running newer copies of windows since his employees did, I on the other hand hate it and am happily fine with windows 7, but now with games certain new games wont run on windows 7 so i have to upgrade my personal pc's and am i gonna spend another $200 for a pro copy no the fucks have already gotten thousands of dollars from me i dont think they need to bleed everyone for every last cent, besides home editions will run better if not the same compared to their more feature filled counter parts, why sacrifice even 1 frame when i can save money and have the same copy. But i count those as business assets so i dont use them for personal use. I keep my own copy so i may use whenever i need or want. I own plenty of pirate copies of windows aswell as legitimate copies, i customize my OS when possible for maximum efficiency. Microsoft practices milking of the consumer which i dont really agree with, how is removing features and trying to lock me out of being able to disable others a good practice? im not a teen girl downloading her favorite songs from shitty sites thats filled with viruses. Do you enjoy being told what your allowed to do and not by a corporation thats selling you a product? Microsoft loves playing god, or police, or lawmaker whatever you call it and it gets worse and worse every year, gpedit is useful and a main feature i use to limit the operating systems on my companys terminals, i learned and grew up with XP and windows 7 (AKA prefull greed mode) where you got all useful features and enterprise and server copys were that, they only included server or enterprise useful software, not bloatware. Back to Toms Hardware!
  2. Already have been debating that but i got win 10 home like not even a month ago, Didn't do my research for once and got bit in the ass, hopefully avoiding spending another $100. And thank you, opened regedit and had to do a bit of searching but found they moved the windows search folder to a new spot with a newer update, now i got it working. Bye cortana and windows defender aswell as useless bluetooth. How is this piracy? gpedit isnt included but the policy and group files are? I own my copy of windows sooooo....... (i only used group policy cause i had read that it can work to disable certain files, ik regedit is gonna be better but with what i assume was the creators update that moved around certain folders and made it so i could not find what i was looking for)
  3. okay so i got windows 10 home ik i screwed but whatever i used a work around and moved grouppolicy folders and installed gpedit and i can open and look but search is missing and the admin templates are grayed out, so am i an idiot or am i just missing something simple? im by no means a tech guru or wizard but im not a absolute moron either, im running out of ideas and material to google, any help would be appreciated im just trying to disable useless windows 10 features id rather not have drawing power. Templates are already added when i started (conf, inetres, system, wmplayer, wuau)
  4. Hey i am somewhat of a tech noob, i have 2 4gb sticks of dual channel ddr3 ram in my pc now, i have 2 old sticks of the same ram ddr3 i think its the same speed, if i threw in the 2 sticks of single channel ddr3 ram would i face any easy major issues? I have a gtx 970, i5-4690k, and a gigabyte z97 gaming 3 motherboard
  5. Hi, thanks for reading this first off! I had a 4 year old harddrive that was starting to fail and i replaced it with a new Western Digital black 1 tb i got from microcenter. Inital windows 10 install was fine seemed as good as i could ask. After i installed all my drivers and started on the programs i was starting to notice that they would stop responding to the point i cant close em or even open task manager just restart and try again. Steam seems to somehow be the easiest to crash, i sign in and itll disapear and a min or 2 later restart and have me resign in. When left alone within a hour to 2 itll be completely closed and windows will barely reapond unless a restart. Any suggestions? Any ideas? It is only on its 2nd day of use and i have a 15 day warranty to replace or brimg back as well as a 2 yr extended and a 5 yr from WD but i cant be positive this isnt new hard drive fuckery yet. EDIT: i am about 2 weeks into new drive and i dont notice the crashing or not responding it stopped about 5 days after first install, it came back 2-3 days later for about 2-3 days then just slowly disapeared. i left steam and battle.net aswell as origins running no crashes all were responsive. i chalk this one up to fucking stupid technology bs we all love.
