  1. That list gives me the same keys I have already tried and failed :-(.
  2. Yeah that should do it. Even in the UEFI itself it says F8 but it doesn't work. I have now tried to disable fast boot and see if I could get the boot order menu that way but that didn't work. I went into the UEFI and set the boot order to a USB drive but that got me in a whole heap of issues (including windows repair and suchs). How can this be so difficult on suchs an expensive motherboard?
  3. I couldn't locate it. There is a boot tab with many MANY options but as fas as I could see no option to enable the boot order menu. It has a boot order menu of it's own of course where you can set which drive to boot from. But it would be huge hassle to constantly go into the UEFI just to boot of a different drive. There ought to be a boot order menu "pop-up'. I now also tried the Delete key but again no luck.
  4. Hi all, I am stuck. I am trying to get to the boot order menu on my Asus VI Crosshair Hero so I can choose what drive to boot from. I was under the assumption that the F8 key would make that pop-up but it doesn't. So I tried the Escape, F2 (this loads the UEFI), F8, F10 and F12 but no luck. What am I doing wrong? Is it a different key? Or have I messed with a setting in the UEFI to stop this menu from working alltogether and if so how do I undo that? I just click restart in Windows and when booting constantly clicked one of those keys. That should do it right? Regards, Martin
  5. Allright guys! Thanks for the info. I will see what I can make happen :-).
  6. I found that but as I am limited in my pc knowledge, I am stuck on my videocard. I was a second hand I got a long time ago. So I don't know if it can handle it.
  7. Hi all, It's been over 20 years since I played games on my PC and wanted to give DOOM a try (it's now on sale). But I am not sure my current system (read graphics card) can handle it. I don't need the ultimate experience, it's just for a bit of fun and nothing serious. I'm not a gamer as you can see. Although my system is fairly new, my graphics card is not. But I would like your advice on my system and the abillity to play DOOM at the lowest level. Here is a quick summary of my system: Operating System Windows 10 Pro 64-bit CPU AMD Ryzen 7 1700X (first generation) RAM 32,0GB Dual-Channel Corsair Vengeance LPX @ 3200MHz Motherboard ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. CROSSHAIR VI HERO (AM4) Graphics S22B350 (1920x1080@59Hz) SAMSUNG 22MP55 (1920x1080@60Hz) LG 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series (ASUStek Computer Inc) Storage 232GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB (SATA (SSD)) 1863GB Seagate ST2000DM006-2DM164 (SATA ) 1863GB Seagate ST2000DM006-2DM164 (SATA ) Audio Realtek High Definition Audio
  8. Instead of 1 file of a few GB the system was syncing a load of files of several GB making up for HUGE ammounts of syncing was being done. I had made a mistake in the settings :-(. Now it is solved.
  9. I am going to move my cloud folder to my E drive and see if that has any effect on both the D and the E drives. If, in the meantime, anyone has any other ideas: I am open to suggestions.
  10. The HDD is a 2TB Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM006 7200rpm and only a month or 2 old. I wouldn't expect that to be slow.
  11. Hi all, I am confused. My D drive is active at 100% and all it is doing is syncing a file of a few GB to the cloud from D. The effect this is having is that when I try to play music from D with VLC, the music stutters. Anyone know what might be going on?
  12. Well, I have now tested it also in Firefox and it makes no difference. I still have stuttering. So un-installed VLC, removed all the left over traces and reinstalled it. That also didn't help. I am out of ideas. Can anyone at least take a look and tell me if my settings for the Realtek audio manager and the Sonic Studio are okay?
  13. Oh I forgot. I also set, in the Realtek HD Audio Manager, the default format from 24Bits, 28000Hz (Studio Quality) to 16Bits, 48000Hz (CD Quality). But that didn't help :-(. Although I notice the most issues when surfing using Chrome. It's not limited to Chrome as far as I can now tell. Chrome is a resource hog, but my system should be able to handle that easily.
  14. I keep trying to resolve this. But it isn't going well. I have run LatencyMon to see if that gave any usefull information (see attachment). But as far as it's concearned, all is fine. Which is strange because I keep having problems. Anyone know any solution or have any suggestions? LatencyMonStats.txt
  15. Hi, I am not sure if this is the right forum at all, but I thought I'd give it a whirl. I have built a new pc and now when I am listening to music (mp3) using VLC while surfing, the music stutters from time to time. This never happened on my old system so something on the new one is messing with the sound. I have the distinct feeling that this only happens when using Chrome and not when using other software like Photoshop, Notepad++ and so on, but I'm not entirely sure. I don't seem to have this problem when watching video and doing other things (like surfing in Chrome) only when listening to music. Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X 2 x 8GB DDR Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz (DRAM Frequency 1064MHz (15-15-15-36), I haven't done anything in the BIOS yet) ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. CROSSHAIR VI HERO (AM4) BIOS version 3502 (this was the latest stable version but I I just noticed there is a new stable version out 6004, so I will flash the BIOS) 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series 232GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB 1863GB Seagate ST2000DM006-2DM164 (where my music is stored) 1863GB Seagate ST2000DM006-2DM164 Corsair RM 550x powersupply Windows 10 64bit ALL drivers are up-to-date using Driver Booster 5. Here are a number of screenshots of some settings on my pc that might show some light on my sound issues. Just to let you know, I tried all the different output modules in VLC (under Tools > Preferences > Audio > Output module).
