  1. Hello lads, I've got an interesting thing I've been wondering about lately. I have an EVGA 980ti hybrid and I've been wondering if it would be possible to remove the stock 120mm AIO and replace it with an AIO that has a similarly sized pump/block and still fit under the EVGA shroud? Based on my research, the stock AIO appears to just be the unbranded Asetek version of the Corsair H55. So since the H105 has a similarly sized and shaped block, would it be possible for me to mount the new cooler and put the shroud back on over it?
  2. Hey lads Recently picked up a Sennheiser PC37X Headset from Massdrop to replace my Corsair Void. Plugged directly into the headphone jack, the audio is very low even at Max system volume in both music and games. It's much louder when I plug it into the headphone jack on the main right speaker in my Logitech Z506s, however the audio sounds a bit distorted with fuzzy bass/gunshots/explosions. I've only ever used USB headsets before this so please bare with me ? I have some questions! - I'm looking for amp recommendations for this headset. I'd like something under $50 since I'm no audiophile. I've found this on Amazon and it looks appealing, but I want other opinions: BEHRINGER MICROAMP HA400 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000KIPT30/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_uG3eAb2K2FZ1S - Anything with bass, gunshots, or explosions sounds very fuzzy, to the point where I prefer my external speakers. Is this due to not being properly driven, being plugged into my speakers instead of the motherboard, or both? Or something else I'm not getting?
  3. I saw on a few threads concerning this issue that this was the problem. I just figured I might as well mention it
  4. Hello all! My boyfriend has been having trouble lately watching video while playing Final Fantasy 14. The video streams fine, however, the audio lags significantly for ONLY the video, and will steadily get worse. We've tried it on Google Chrome and Firefox, but to no success. This happens on Youtube as well as Netflix. The effect seems to subside temporarily when he exits full screen, however, it quickly returns. Chrome also has hardware acceleration disabled, and his drivers are up to date. His primary monitor is a BENQ 1440p panel running at 60hz and a 1080p Lenovo panel also at 60hz. Upon checking his temps and usage in hardware monitor, neither the CPU nor GPU is thermal throttling, and the CPU is nowhere near maxed out. However, the GPU is constantly hitting 99%-100%, which I believe to be the cause of the issue. Specs are as follows: -i5 6500 -16GB DDR4 @ 2400MHZ -Corsair GTX 1070 Hybrid @ stock speeds Any advice on this issue would be much appreciated!
  5. I have a desk top already. I'm looking for something to play games on while I'm on campus.
  6. Trying to avoid the really edgey looking gamer laptops, although that one is a good choice and I will definitely keep it in mind
  7. That's what prompted my search, however I couldn't find the laptop he mentioned in his review (the $600 mx150) and he never started what model it was. Checking around they were usually like $750-$800
  8. I'm looking for laptops under or at $800 with a dGPU for schoolwork and light gaming. My current picks are an Acer unit with a 940m at $570 and an MSI unit with an MX150 for $800. Ignoring all other factors, is the performance difference of an MX150 worth the $230 price hike?
  9. Do you guys think the mostly plastic top panel could support the rest of the computer? Like the slide in clips wouldn't break if I was carrying it?
  10. Thanks! Any idea where I could get aluminum plates locally? Home Depot maybe?
  11. @GER_T4IGA I'm also looking for something more permanent than that, although that is an interesting solution
  12. @Gungpae I have stairs and live on a gravel driveway, so that's not going to work @GER_T4IGA I agree that $25 is a bit steep for a pair of handles. I've found other places to get them, at this point it's just about how and where to mount them. @AnonymousGuy it does have a mesh top panel, and the rest if it is plastic, so I guess that rules the top panel out completely. any other thoughts on where to put them?
  13. I take my PC frequently to friends houses, and am looking for a way to make it easier to carry around without changing cases. Currently, my case is a Fractal Design Node 804. https://mnpctech.com/pc-case-lan-party-gaming-carry-top-server-tower-handles/#/product/714 Are these a good choice of mounting handles? I have no experience with case modding or metal working, so I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions about where and how to mount the handles.
  14. Why did they make quiet look like that :///// She was the only character I liked in the whole game lmao
  15. Everyone has tapped their motherboard with a screwdriver at one point or another. The only real way to check for damage is to boot it up.
