  3. lol I was not aware the 9900k wasn't current gen. looks like I have some research to do. Also Im not opposed to amd I just liked the 9900k more than the 3800x
  4. everything but GPU (for right now) for 2.5k
  5. I will most likely get a 3080 when they are in stock, but until then the 1080ti is enough for what I need. Do the next gen amd's look promising? I don't keep up with the market. Thanks!

I am planning on building my first PC soon and I need some tips/advice. I already own an EVGA 1080ti ftw3 and 27" 1440p 144hz LG GL850b that I will use for this build. I am soliciting advice for the motherboard, RAM, and case specifically but I am welcome to any advice anyone is willing to give. I have no requirements for the RAM or motherboard other than that the motherboard has reinforced pcie slots. The case I would like to be a mid tower with all metal sides, no glass, because I need to be able to transport the PC with having to baby the glass sides. Thank you for any and all advice! Jeoxor
  7. I like the 28' size for the monitor selected, I definitely want windows for this machine, color doesn't really matter because I'm just going to put it under a desk, and I don't need to overclock. Also I want a UPS do y'all have any recomendations? Thanks for the help!
  8. Firstly, I live in the US and I would say my budget would be $4000 total. I will use my future machine mostly for "file sharing" and some gaming. I also plan to use it for syncing my iOS devices and for when I need more horsepower than my MacBook can provide. As of right now I like Nvidia and Intel, but I'm not opposed to switching sides as the marketplace changes. I want a nvme ssd to boot windows off of and at least 6TB of hard drive storage for files that don't need to be lightning fast. Also I want to run a version of windows that has bitlocker. For peripherals I dont know what I want other than a mechanical keyboard. I have never built a PC before and I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy a machine from someone like origin. I appologize if I'm being needy but I need tips from people that know more than me. Thanks,
