  1. Not sure I can pull the tie fighter, as much as I would want that considering I have a stormtrooper costume lol
  2. I essentially only play games... I do a bit of this and that on the side, but not at a level that I would care for a 2 seconds gain on my 3D prints slicing in CURA. 5800X seems like a decent option for it's price point
  3. I have 2 1080 / 144hz monitors, would have to upgrade both cause my OCD won't survive having two different monitors Or upgrade to a bigger one and keep the two others as sidekicks... hum credit car might not like that...
  4. What you are saying is that I could keep my current mobo and just get a 5800 x3D (or 5700x). I game on a 1080p 144Hz monitor. I could do with extra frames in a few games
  5. Greetings all, I am looking into potential upgrades for my ryzen 3600, but I am unsure which way to go. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D is apparently a good one, is there a real benefit though ? Should the mobo be changed to fully harness the new cpu abilities ? Long story short : what kind of CPU should I get, is a new mobo needed ? Thanks a bunch for your help.
  6. We are still getting the same random BSODs... help me Linus Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope. Just as a random thing I have activate XMP in the bios, it was disabled prior to that. I don't see why that would help, but I am getting desperate Including CPU-Z report, in case that can spark ideas... Any help greatly appreciated, working remotely isn't fun with a PC that crashes randomly during meetings. ARCHIMEDE.html
  7. new BSOD : crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\012022-6828-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x3F72E0) Bugcheck code: 0xA (0x8, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF80049486BC8) Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe administrative events2.evtx
  8. Memtest86 ran for an entire night and reported no problem. For now : no crash to report, it's super weird...
  9. Quick update : we haven't figured out the "E drive" mystery. No idea why windows reports on a drive that doesn't exist. Tested the config with just one stick of ram, and then back to two : seems to be working so far. Did resitting the RAM help somehow ? More tests needed.
  10. Here is the crystal report : https://pastebin.com/cNVp43kA
  11. That make sense, except there is no E: drive on that computer. But I will crytal info those guys anyway
  12. Still no luck, we removed one ram stick and are trying that way... super weird
  13. After watching anthony video on troubleshooting computers that crash, I have disabled c state in the bios... can't hurt I guess.
  14. Hey thanks for the help, so here is the log file you asked for. I hope you can read it, windows said something about local language... I set it to english, hopefully that works. administrative events.evtx
