that sounds like an apple explanation. if you want a good camera go for an p20 pro, if you want value go with a pocophone or honor play. oneplus 6 is great, just to name a few if you want to upgrade from android to android.

I'll say this: you'll probably want an iPhone Xr if you get one, and that's no knock against the Xs.

I have an iPhone Xs myself, and it's glorious... the OLED screen is vivid, sharp and high-contrast, the dual cameras are handy, and of course the build quality is great.  It's blazing fast and Face ID works very well, other than having to remember to put the phone at a reasonable distance from my face first!

The main thing: most people don't need the Xs' special advantages.  The Xr has the same fast processor, Face ID, and main rear camera, it's just using a lower-resolution (but still vivid) LCD and doesn't have a second rear camera.  I used an iPhone 7 for a couple of years with the same PPI density as the Xr, and that was more than fine. So unless you absolutely need a greater-than-1080p OLED screen or second camera, you'll get the core Xs experience for considerably less.

As for the "big problems..." well, they're not, really.

Right now, some iPhone Xs users say their phones won't charge when plugged in until you wake up the screen.  Mine is fine (I've checked), but it sounds like a software issue that will be addressed in a patch in the near future.

There's also a supposed "beautygate" where the front camera allegedly smoothes out skin imperfections, but I've heard that might not be the case -- it's that the old iPhone X camera introduced noise that isn't there now.

the iphones are decent if you can deal with no fingerprint reader, no headphone jack, no fast charging out of the box, & overpriced price tag.

My guess is that if it's a 2 in 1 laptop, it's generally going to be lightweight, easily portable, and have good battery life. High end processors and discrete graphics (with current technology) require a lot of power, which means a large battery for good battery life, which means it's going to weigh a metric ton and become a 2 in 1 for a very limited audience.

I would definitely see what the OnePlus 6 has to offer on May 16th given that you're more interested in bang for the buck than having certain features.  Should cost around $500-ish with a super-tall screen, lots of RAM and storage, dual cameras... I know OnePlus tends not to have the greatest cameras, but like you said it could still be a substantial improvement.

I have a very similar pc, but I think the price for the CPU is very expensive, maybe check other places.
I'd also go for the 1050ti, that's what I got and it runs AAA games to very decent framerates in 1080.

Meant on that build to get it down to $400, but if you're going to get a 500GB SSD get a good one? not just the cheapest one?

You can get a lot of gaming done on the APU, you'll end up with a better GPU in the end.

I recommend a used, or even new Galaxy S8 or S8+ in the 350-450$ range. Very good phone. S9/S9+ isn't an upgrade as I've read.

The i5 is pretty limiting in games. I wish I'd grabbed the 6700HQ for my laptop, personally.

Having two RMx's fail is either really unlucky, or something is causing them to fail.

Are you able to power the PC from a different plug socket or extension, to see if it still has the popping?

If you're playing games like 6-Siege, get a 1080p 240hz or 1440p 144hz monitor. Prices right now are ass unless you're lucky enough to find somewhere where it's not intensely inflated.

reason im getting 2 4TB HDDs is coz my dad gets me to back everything of his up and ive got a large collection of movies and anime and my current 4TB external HDD is almost full. if it was only me needing the storage i would go with just 1 but i need that extra room sadly but hes paying for his

well that's got more to do with VRM design than Chipset. Granted the VRMs on X370 boards are usually better than those found on B350 boards, but that's not a guarantee. If you want good VRMs, i wouldn't buy a MSI board.

8 TB of storage is a lot, unless you are doing something like storing entire 4k movies on your pc it is overkill. i would recommend you to just clean up useless files and programs once in a while since this also makes your pc a little faster. that way you use your hard drive space more efficiently.

This really comes down to available money. If you are willing to shell out the extra money, I would say go for the new build. If you're a little tighter on budget the upgrade you suggested should be fairly sufficient to run most modern games at medium to high settings.

    Edit: changed "budges" to "budget".
