My H100i Pro works fine for my i9-1200k.
i9-12900k rather lol

eera5607 got a reaction from LauriHimself in Low download speeds on Asus Zephyrus G14
So, I don't know exactly what the problem was but apparently it has something to do with configuration.
The solution in this case was to use a tool called SG TCP Optimizer and select "Optimal configuration" on the bottom right. Then click apply to set the new settings.
After that the download speeds are as good as any other device.
Thanks all for the help.

got you. was thinking those other machines where probably hoked up via cable.
hope you find a solution

the problem here might be the wifi bandwith.
had to hook up my tv to a cable as via wifi it got suck buffering a lot

I figured this might have had something to do with it. Sometimes UPS's can buzz. Yeah.
Depending on how you position it you might be able to dampen how loud it buzzes. You can think about covering it with something but keep in mind that a lot of UPS's come with fans and need to breathe when supplying back-up power.

You must have used quite a bit of force in doing so. I've never heard of someone breaking the CMOS battery holder.
If you're handy with a soldering iron it's not the end of the world. You can buy replacement holders.
Also, IIRC the battery is only needed when power isn't applied. The standby power the PC gets when off but plugged in would preserve your BIOS settings. This would mean you'd have to stop your ritual of shutting off the UPS every night which wouldn't hurt anything.

Both UPS's and PCs are meant to receive standby power 24/7. For what reason are you powering them off every night?
Regardless the CMOS battery is suppose to save your settings while it's off. What is the state of the CMOS jumper pins? It's not set to reset CMOS is it?

eera5607 reacted to 5x5 in Are 5 watts really going to damage my laptop?
I would highly advise you don't use knock off chargers. They're usually very shit and can indeed cause damage. Same for cheap battery banks, they are designed for replaceable phones, not expensive laptops. Proceed at your own risk

eera5607 reacted to 5x5 in Are 5 watts really going to damage my laptop?
I wouldnt trust it with anything other than my 100$ phone, let alone an expensive laptop

Oh oops, read the question and thought it was based off that compared to 3.25A. 0.25A lower should be ok I believe.

eera5607 reacted to CommanderAlex in Are 5 watts really going to damage my laptop?
Well I'm not sure about 5 watts but one thing I could see is if the wattage is higher than what is rated, it can over time damage the charging system. If you ever watch a Louis Rossmann YT video on him repairing MacBooks because they cannot charge anymore, its because the customer is not using the charger that came with machine.

being under in amperage is fine, if you wanna be super safe just avoid doing any heavy load while using the power bank (even tho its probs fine).

i would have to agree, the 1660 ti isnt that bad of a gpu at all. so i think you should wait as well.

eera5607 reacted to Streetguru in RTX 2080 SUPER and i7 7700k CPU bottleneck
That website is probably useless
your CPU is fine for 144hz gaming
just wait for the 30 series and big navi at the end of the year at this point though, your GPU is already pretty good.
-
eera5607 reacted to KnoT in RTX 2080 SUPER and i7 7700k CPU bottleneck
You are gonna be just fine for 60fps/hz gaming but for 144fps 7700k is just not enough in some games anymore

where's the fun in that? Buying hw and not tinkering it? Sounds dull.
-
eera5607 reacted to Sorenson in Do I need to overclock?
You can definitely do all of this, but it also takes a lot of time to set it up properly your first time. If you are just looking to play games and web browse you are fine at the default settings. If you like tinkering then go ham.
-
eera5607 reacted to Vejnemojnen in Do I need to overclock?
Plus advantage: custom user modes. Ie.: undervolted, power limited mode for browsing, desktop apps, and general usage, and an OC-d mode with raised memory clocks and gpu core clocks.
The GDDR6 memories are not that great for OC-ing though. But, with reasonable power&voltage setups, one can get a bit of performance increase, without compromising GPU-s lifespan.

eera5607 reacted to Jurrunio in Do I need to overclock?
Apart from overclocking and setting fan speed curves, software can also let you tune voltage and lower voltage means less heat and temperature. It's basically "advanced mode" for your GPU, to squeeze out every bit of potential from it.
-
eera5607 reacted to Sorenson in Do I need to overclock?
like others have said, you only need the utility if you want to push the card further. I've done it in the past and don't any more because the gains are generally very small over the factory overclock. It also tends to make the GPU louder.
-
eera5607 reacted to GalacticRuler in Do I need to overclock?
It's a factory overclocked card, but the utility is there if you want to overclock further. Factory overclocking involves binning GPUs to use the ones that can reach the factory overclock, but that doesn't mean it hits its max potential.

eera5607 reacted to Fasauceome in Do I need to overclock?
the OC clock speeds are built in, no need for software

eera5607 reacted to Airdragonz in Maximus IX Code and multiple SATA and PCIE SSDs
Yes that's correct. You'll only have 3 sockets. The performance will be the same regardless of the socket as long as both are x4 PCIE. And correct, a USB to SATA adapter does not use any SATA ports.
