  1. it similar to what i ask in my post, mine is Gen1 (i5-750 stock speed @2,66ghz 8mb cache),i "believe" urs is gen 4,so my case is even worser, and this guy point out a youtube video that gives me "mindblowing" of what my proc "possibly" capable. so im thinking of buying a cooler, then OC my Proc, then if it did can reach some point ill buy VGA,if it doesn't then ill just buy whole new rig. try to read it. maybe... just maybe.. ur proc is "chucknorris like" like mine.as a reference only.. coz i didnt YET do that, coz i just post it today too. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/799202-q-bout-up-my-rig-i5-750asrock-p55prousb2/
  2. wow thx mate this video is very helpfull almost 90% answer my question,i got lucky u found me,and point out to this guy video. im still looking around for cooling tho, some said noctua nh d15 is good, as i can see it seems that it was released around 3 years ago,so i guess "maybe" something out there hv better perfomance, so im still looking around and try to catch up, and i dont know if this noctua was enough to get me to 3.6 to 4.0 ghz performance.. do you hv any suggestion?
  3. as i search about 750TI i find that it was G-sync ready.i curious is there any ATI vga thats equal to 750TI performance but freesync ready? im thinking about slapping 2 of them instead and use freesync to handle the possible screen tearing, can it? as i watch linus video, freesync seems more promising, and what about crossfire? and btw im curios about this Motherboard,in the ASrock web it said Slots - 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (at x16 mode) - 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (at x4 mode, 2.5GT/s) - 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots (2.5GT/s) - 2 x PCI slots - Supports ATI™ CrossFireX™ and Quad CrossFireX™ why it didnt said 2x pci-e 2.0x16 instead? is that 2nd slot different than the other one? can i slap crossfire with same type VGA into it? im actually thinking to up my windows to windows 10 for that dx 12 to spread evenly the work of each processor. and btw im aiming that rx580 and 1060 for vulkan™ API #make my Fossil Rig Young again
  4. but someone said my proc can OCed to 4.0ghz (its legend tho,so i dont expect that high) lets say i can reach 3.6Ghz will it still bottleneck my GPU? and why? and lets say i want to get to 3.6ghz like many others did, what cooler i probably need? liq? or fan? and what brand? any advice? thx btw for the suggestion.
  5. hi,im new here, yes, litteraly registered 1 minutes ago, and yes,i just know linus has a forum just 5 minutes ago, so i apologize if i post in wrong location, i have rig: MotherBoard :ASrock p55pro/usb2 ( LGA1156,PCI-e2.0x16 ) PSU :ThermalTake LitePower ATX12v 2.3 ( 600watt ) Proc :intel i5-750 @2.66GHZ 8MB SmartCache RAM :Avexir 2x4GB 800mhz/1600 VGA :Digital Alliance ATI HD5830 run on win7x64 so here's my questions, if i UP my VGA will it bottleneck CPU? so if it will, how bout OC my Proc? if i OC my proc,i will need new cooling, what r ur suggestion? (Add:i alr slight OC my proc to 160Bclk x 17 (or 2.7 GHZ) and Ram to 1600 (MAX default 1333)) and it alr reach TJmax when i play PS3 Emulator. back to up my VGA: so after conduct a research i get to like this 2: RX 580 or Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb? so what ur sugestion? brand? other VGA tipe? trouble detected? PCI-e version bottleneck maybe? anything that comes into ur mind i will gratefull, in my MB website it says: OS - Microsoft® Windows® 7 / 7 64-bit / Vista™ / Vista™ 64-bit / XP / XP 64-bit compliant lets say that i install win10,can it run? anyone experience on this?
