    My Dell Inspiron 17 5770 stopped working several months ago. I was using it one day watching some YouTube videos and then it cut out. When it cut out it seemed to have switched off completely, I did notice at the time that the fans ramped up and stayed on about 10 seconds after. I was also aware that the computer was overheating whilst getting a fair bit of ventilation when it was on. I have had many overheating problems before and I have changed the thermal paste, but this laptop of mine just is built so poorly. I suspect that the solder got so hot that it could have created a dry joint. Thus a short circuit. Today, I could hear a whine from the voltage regulators and one of them was hot to touch. Is it possible that this need replacing?? I know my laptop charger works because I use it in another laptop. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

    The camera picks it up. The Pc has a light on memory card reader. Which is there normally when a card is inserted

    My memory card reader just has a light.

    Hi all, I have a 32 Gb Integral SD card. I purchased it in 2013. Long story short: Was backing up my photos on morning and put the SD card in the computer and then nothing showed up. Things I have done: Used 3 other different SD card Readers. List disks with DiskPart. Checked Disk Management. Still after those three painstaking no luck!! Some help would be greatly appreciated. Or am dead with my other half.

    capture card eh? ill give that a try. EDIT: looked online and there some going for £100. Its too much!!! There must be some alternative.
