Dont get me wrong, ive tried a couple ultrawides, and this is the best so far. I've just tried connecting the usb type a/b to a different port on my mac, and is seems to be working now. very weird, since both usb ports are working equally when i simply plug a external hard drive. Whats wrong???

Hi! I recently bought the LG 34UC88, and what a great monitor. But today i am experiencing trouble with the usb hub function. I have connected my macbook pro with a hdmi cable, and a usb type a/b cable for the usb hub function to work. The problem is that usb ports on my monitor does detect computer mouse/keyboard, but it doesn't detect external harddrives, usb flash drives etc. It seems like the ports doesn't provide enough power. Does anybody know whats wrong with it? is there a fix to it??
