That motherboard has 2 PCIe x16 slots. Use of the M.2 socket does not affect either one. So your good to go. The M.2 socket will use lanes dedicated for the sata ports, so it may disable two of them.

When I first started modding, friends would look at what I was doing, and say I was mad. Things like cutting apart 2 cheap cases, and using them to build one good one. Making my own fan controllers, when I could have just bought one, etc.

You're a bit fuzzy on your facts. The 2nd Amendment (the right to keep, and bear arms) was enacted on Dec. 15th, 1791, not in the 1800's. It had absolutely nothing to do with "sporting" usage. It had to do with self-defense, and defense of the state (militias). It was influenced by the British Bill of Rights which became common law in 1689.
The Supreme Court ruled that this right was not immune from regulation.
I would think, as a Canadian (based solely on your name), that you would be aware of the fact that Canada has more gun ownership per capita than the USA, and yet a fraction of the deaths from guns. Here in the US, a large part of the problem is the society we have created. We need stronger regulations, but to attempt to completely disarm the public, this late in the game, would result in a civil war, or revolution.
The politicians (mostly on the right) are heavily lobbied, and financed by the NRA. Trump received 50 million in campaign contributions from them. No current politician is going to turn down that kind of money just because we (the peasants) are being slaughtered. Their kids go to private schools, and live in gated communities with armed guards. It's going to take a great effort on the part of the citizens to overcome these obstacles, and force reasonable regulation on the sale, and transfer of guns. Guns are power, and people like to feel empowered. I fear nothing will be done about this, and if anything is done it will take a very long time. Wish us luck, we need it.

This 100% sounds like the kind of thinking that comes from a country that see's a continued increase in the mass murder of it's children.

At this point the gun control debate in America is pointless.  If Sandy Hook wasn't enough to change things in America and shootings have continued and the frequency and death rate continues to climb.  Seven of the ten deadliest mass shootings in America happened in the last ten years.  Columbine isn't even in the top ten anymore.

No meaningful action is ever taken to stem this tide and there is even active resistance to ensure this tide continues.  America needs to give up and just buy it's children body armor and armored helmets.

I think it's possible. I would be very OCD about drying everything out. Remove every part to dry them. RAM, CPU, everything. Be very careful with the power supply. I normally advise people not to disassemble them. I do, but I'm comfortable handling high voltage electronics due to my profession. Just disassemble every component to the best of your abilities, and dry everything fully. There's no guarantee, but I would try it if I couldn't afford to replace it. If nothing else, you might salvage some of the components.
Sorry for your troubles. That's a rough thing to deal with. Hope you were able to salvage any family and/or sentimental keepsakes. A lot of those things cannot be replaced. Best of luck.

Outstanding job, especially since you mentioned it's mostly built out of spare parts. Very clean looking. Your brother should not only be very happy, but should be treating you like a god (pun directed at your name). I hope he appreciates all the hard work, and thought that went in to the build. Great job.

MadModder got a reaction from Budjet Tech in What dose Memory Channel mean
Dual Channel Memory allows for a faster data transfer rate between the RAM, and the Memory Controller (CPU). On a motherboard with only two ram slots, one slot will use one channel, and the other slot will use the other channel. If the Motherboard has four ram slots, one channel will use two slots (A1 and A2), and the second channel will use the other two slots (B1 and B2).

I always remove the GPU(s) before I move mine. I also lay them flat on the side the motherboard is on, so nothing is hanging off of it. Put it on some pillows in the backseat, and drive carefully.

I advise documenting the condition of the phone, and that it functions properly in case the buyer claims it was damaged (there's a big scratch on the screen, etc.), or not functional. I learned the hard way when renting an apartment to document absolutely everything with photo's/vids, after being charged for things that were damaged prior to moving in. I no longer trust anyone, no matter how nice their smile is.

Ooops! I dropped my GPU. I'll just RMA it, and claim it was DOA. <----happens every day.

Not in my situation. But I have a different case, and I would be running the same number of fans regardless of where I put the radiator.  I run all of my fans at 100% during the summer, because it's hot as hell in my apartment. I have a fan profile set up for the winter months that is gradual, depending on temps.
However, I wear headphones most of the time, so I'm not as concerned with noise as much as some folks are. Plus I was a Harley mechanic for about 10yrs, so my definition of noisy may be a bit different, lol.

If you're going to "cut off" friends because they are female, and you're now in a relationship, I don't think you're much of a friend to begin with. I'm friends with women I've known since I was a little kid. I'm also still good friends with several women I once had relationships with, which ended, but we have remained good friends. You shouldn't turn your back on friends because of their gender. Not if they're true friends.
Sounds to me like you're having issues with trust, self-confidence, and jealousy. If you force her to abandon her friends, you will drive her away. If you don't trust her, you shouldn't be with her in the first place. If she's going to cheat, she will do it regardless of whether that person is a "friend", or if she just met them yesterday.
    Good luck.
