  1. I recently bought a headset with a microphone to build into my motorcycle helmet. It has a 3.5mm combo jack, so i can connect it with my phone. When i first tested the headset with my phone (moto G4 plus, 4th gen) i noticed a problem. The headset is connected, but only as a stereo headset without a microphone. If i try an other headset with my phone, the microphone shows up. When i connect the headset for the helmet with my laptop, everything works. Tried it with discord without any issues. I don't really know what the problem can be. Is my moto G4 plus broken, or is the headset broken?
  2. I tested a few plugs around my room and house, and i'm surprised i didn't notice the differences in speed before. One on the other side gives around 16mb/s and another one around 30mb/s . The one i'm currently using is switching between 7 and 9 as we speak.
  3. It's probably on another phase as i use the 3 phase system. The powerlines are directly plugged in a socket, i even bought a 5m cable to do so. The internal speeds are rated at 500mb/s. The modem is just beneath my room, i'm guessing even a 5ghz wireless connection will be stable then.
  4. As the title sais, i'm looking for a better internet solution. My current situation is this: We have a modem from our ISP. We can't choose any modem on the market, as the ISP chooses its own. The speed via cable, straight from the modem is around 65mb/s download. My computer is upstairs in my room, connected via a powerline in the wall. I'm getting only around 8-10mb/s downloads and it's very unreliable. The WIFI-speed from that modem is around 18-20 mb/s . Now, is there a way to get better speeds, without drilling a hole in the ceiling as this is not an option? I think some options are getting a wifi card and adding a router, or buying the more expensive modem with better wifi.
  5. Than i will probably wait for a few weeks. As it is my first build, i don't realy prefer second hand stuff yet.
  6. I was planning to build a system after my finals. It would be a amd ryzen 5 1600 and a gtx 1070 or even a 1080 if it fitted my budget. A few months ago i saw gtx 1070's on amazon for about €380 to low-400 . Now, my finals are done, but there is all the mining-craze going on. Prices went up and the only cards available (if i can even find one) right now are costing me around €550. Anyone who knows if the prices or the availability will change, or should i just wait for amd vega to come out?
