My heart goes out to Tyler's family, everyone at LMG, and everyone hurt or impacted by the passing.

This year has been incredibly rough, there are no words to explain just how hard it has been. I can only hope that we all find peace in knowing that it's times like this where a community needs to come together to support not just Tyler's family, but each other.

    Sleep in paradise, Tyler.

3200 is great, but 3600 is the sweet spot. Any higher and I believe infinity fabric will have an issue with it.

Took my dead ram to the shooting range and shot it with a few .50 Cal’s. It kept giving me memory management blue screens and I figured it was time to really explain how I felt.

A word of advice. Try to get matching sticks if youre planning to upgrade down the line. When I say matching I mean same model number from the same manufacturer as some MoBos are finnicky.

Ideally you want to run a Ryzen processor with TWO ram kits to enable dual channel support. Ryzen ends up being memory bandwidth starved with a single stick of ram (which would work in single channel).

If you end up mixing and matching sticks or doing the most evil thing of say having 2 4gb sticks and then adding an 8gb one, the memory controller will likely freak out somewhat and either run in single channel mode, or slow down the memory timings (These are the funny numbers beyond "3000 Mhz!!!!!!"), and this would kill performance

You’re better getting an office chair that actually supports your posture if you’re going to be sitting in it for hours at a time.

I read on a website that things like laptops and certain electronics can be imported to Croatia duty free. However, it is extremely subjective because I can't seem to find a Croatian Government website that tells me otherwise.

    I will just say this.

It would probably NOT be a wise course of action to Lie to customs.  For like any reason.... for what i would think are fairly obvious reasons.

I've said it before and I will say it again, LinusTechTips is not a channel for information.
Even their "informative" videos are often riddled with factual errors which leaves the viewer less informed than before they watched the video.

If you want to learn something, stay away from LinusTechTips and their other channels. If you think their videos are entertaining then go ahead and watch them, but never use them as a source of information.
Their graphs being inaccurate is the least of their issues.

Speaking from experience, although Canadian ISP's seem to be better in servicing the lines from the head end all the way to the DMARC point on our homes, they do not support any advanced configuration of their hardware. It's a liability thing, since if they provide help setting up port forwarding or parental controls then the (l)users will blame the ISP whenever these advanced networking options don't work for whatever reason, so training is not even provided to the technical support agents on these features in most cases.

The agents who do seem knowledgeable on advanced networking features are usually doing so out of the kindness of their own hearts from their own personal knowledge, and are really just trying to point users in the right direction so they can research how complicated setting up advanced networking features can be, so be thankful if you ever have a chance to talk to a knowledgeable tech support agent about port forwarding.

The actual best option is to purchase your own dedicated router, learn how to configure it properly, and reap the rewards of having less restrictions than your ISP believes you should have with your connection. (As long as you're not violating the Acceptable Use Policy, of course.) It looks like Shaw has a community guide on setting up bridge mode yourself too, so you don't even need to contact them to bridge the modem for your own router.

If there was a leak on the board, chances are the leak caused corrosion which ended up shorting your board somewhere near the leak. The best thing to try and do is get some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip and see if you can find any corrosion and clean it off gently with the rubbing alcohol.
