Old Toshiba HDD: 87MB read, 77MB Write

 

Samsung 860 Evo: 523MB read, 519MB Write.

 

Holy crap.

    The thought of using an HDD these days makes me sick to my stomach. Has for quite some time.

    @Legendarypoet I never really paid attention until I found Windows loading significantly slower in the beginning of February. As soon as I installed it, I was like wtf was I waiting for... LOL.

    Ahh, I remember going from a mechanical drive to an SSD. I just got two more SSDs for free today. (also @Legendarypoet you don't have to send me any if you get old spare ones if you ever did again)

    @bob51zhang That's surprising, considering I bought this laptop as a refurb model instead of brand new. I'm thinking it was faster at one point but they just never bothered to switch out the HDD... Or they did but gave me a crappy one.
