  1. The battery is fine its just when its plugged into the crashes occur. I've unplugged battery and still same issue, so shouldnt be anything to do with the battery. I dont believe theres a fault with the gpu itself or why would it work using aida64 to warm it up and then run heaven and it works. Its like it needs to be warm to run 3d graphics or some voltage or clock speeds are messing up.
  2. Laptop Model : Clevo P670RS Hi there I was wondering if anyone on the forum has any ideas about a laptop fault I have. I bought this laptop on ebay and has a very weird fault with the gpu, where when any graphic intensive task will shut down or crash the pc. Its giving a blue screen video tdr failure nvlddmkm.sys. I have tried resinalling drivers, windows, updates, thermal paste, flashing different vbios, nothing seems to work. This problem only happens when the charger is plugged in, it will work fine with low fps when its not in. I have found a way to get it working by using aida64 gpu stress test then run a gpu intensive task like heaven benchmark and then stop aida64 and will work fine. Is it a temperature issue where the temps need to be high for it to work or something else. Thanks and hopefully you guys can help us out with this one as im stuck
  3. I was thinking the same to be honest, have tried 2 gpu's and both running at x8. Will try another motherboard as have a spare z370 asus in cuboard to see if it makes a difference. I don't feel like the x8 is bottlenecking the 1080ti at all but still not happy if the board is some how deffected.
  4. yes, tried heaven benchmark and only running at x8.
  5. I put it into the one nearest the cpu motherboard, bios does say pcie 16x 3.0 but says running at x8 3.0
  6. Hi there I have a issue with my gpu and was just wondering if anyone can help. Will only run at x8, not sure if this is due to the nvme ssd or if this is normal or not. did try removing all hard drvies and nvme but bios still says pcie 16 3.0 running at x8 3.0. Any help would be much appreciated. 7. was thinking the same to be honest was not happy since he delivered it with the tape cut. its not like it was removed and replaced either
  8. so I just got a acer xr342ck monitor and noticed very faint lines only noticeable on blacks and can really only see it from a angle should this happen. it looks like its creased a little. Pictures are not the best and made a little diagram of what it looks like. honestly its not even noticeable unless pure black and you go to the side and look very closley. What you think I should do leave it or try replace it baring in mind when getting this monitor it was already opened before even getting to my door which was strange especially since it was opened from the bottom not the top.
  9. for the speakers and astro no they are both seperate cables. both work fine on laptop just on my pc it buzzes. the headphone jack on back works fine but anything that uses a usb for audio it buzzes badly. I did test without gpu and thats not the problem, All I can put it down to is power supply or motherboard or there is something else interfering with the usb. I'm gonna remove everything and see if it can be fixed.
  10. Hi there I'm new to the site and just wanted to ask a question about my sound issue. I have a focusrite scarlet 2i2 with 2 krk rokit 5 speakers and make a very bad buzzing noise when in use with usb. I have tested with my laptop and no problem at all with the power in so doesn't seem like a ground issue. it is terrible when playing on graphic intensive games and still slightly buzzes with scrolling and general usage but nowhere near as bad as on games. this also happens with my astro a40 headset when connected with usb. I tried the headphone port at the back and no problems works fine just seems like a usb problem. I do have cheap adapters for my 24 pin motherboard which are braided which i'm thinking could be the case and also for my gpu. Any help is much appreciated thank you. system specs Cpu: Intel i7-4770kMobo: ASUS Maximus VII HeroRam: Corsair Vengeance 24GB 2133mhzGpu: GTX 1070 GigabytePsu: Corsair RM 850wHdd: 2TB Toshiba P300Ssd: 120GB Samsung 840 Pro
