  1. Apologies for asking what may seem obvious to many of you, but I'm picking up the NZXT H510 Elite case which comes with a "Smart Device" built in, as well as 2 RGB Aer fans in the front. Firstly, am I right in assuming that the fans will be connected to the motherboard for power, and the smart device for RGB? And secondly, where does the Smart Device connect on the motherboard? I've built 2 PCs but I'm new to this brave new RGB world. Thanks in advance.
  2. Thanks for the heads up, surely there must be a cheaper variant in the form of a splitter though...?
  3. Sorry if this is a very specific question, Do you know of any sort of splitter box that can take two inputs via HDMI and then output a 'multi window' view to a single monitor where both inputs display side by side? I know there are monitors that do dual inputs but we are looking to do it as cheaply as possible, and we don't want to use two seperate monitors. Any help is much appreciated.
  4. I don't play first person shooter games, mostly more casual titles like Rocket League and simulators.
  5. So I currently have an LG ultrawide as my only monitor. I use my PC for mostly productive tasks such as video editing, with only a little casual gaming on the side. Recently I've started to get more into gaming and am looking into a 144hz monitor. Do you think my GTX 1060 6GB would be enough to power this refresh rate at 1080p and high settings? Bear in mind I'll still be using my LG ultrawide as a second display but not for gaming.
  6. I'm in UK so more than likely will have launched by the time I wake up tomorrow morning.
  7. Samsung Magician says drive health is 'GOOD'. Does that mean the drive must be ok?
  8. So I built a PC for a friend. It's my second PC build. Both were a success, without any issues. He rung me up today and said that most of the time, it boots into Windows no problem (off the SSD). But occasionally, it will say 'Select Boot Device or Insert Boot Media'. I'm fully aware of what that means, but why would that message appear if Windows is working fine and sometimes boots flawlessly? BIOS settings show Boot Priority is fine. I can't think of a reason. Any ideas?
  9. Ryzen CPUs don't have integrated graphics so an external GPU is required. Sorry, I forgot to mention that at the outset.
  10. Oh thanks that actually looks like a good option. Will look into it.
  11. Thank you. I will go with something like this if necessary but it's still overkill for him so something even cheaper would be ideal.
