  1. Hey everyone, thanks in advance for all the help and time. I have had one main issue that has been impacting my stream lately that seems to only concern a single audio channel. My stream has 3 sources of audio output: my microphone (which sounds fine but need to fine tune my filters more), my game/desktop audio (which sounds perfectly fine), and my discord audio channel (my headset has a chat and a game mode, so the discord is the only audio coming through this source, and its sounds robotic through stream). On the stream, I am in 44.1 audio settings, the discord channels I use whilst streaming feature max bitrate. I will include a clip below to demonstrate the audio issues. First clip will demonstrate me without any discord audio to show that everything is working fine, and another with the discord audio where the issue is clear. Clip1: https://clips.twitch.tv/LachrymoseResourcefulYamKAPOW Clip2: https://clips.twitch.tv/BelovedBlightedCormorantThunBeast P.S: I am aware my breathing/keyboard clicks are audible, I do need to fix this and any advice would be GREATLY appreciated, however the main "issue" is the robotic discord distortion SPECS: CPU: i7-8700k @5.0 GHz GPU: Asus Strix 1080ti OC RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3200MHz CPU cooler: NZXT X52 Kraken (through push/pull) PSU: Corsair Hx850i MOBO: Asus ROG Maximus X Hero (wifi AC) Storage: 1tb M.2 SSD, 4tb HDD RELEVANT PERIPHERALS: Stream Cam: Razer Kiyo 1080p webcam with light Mic: Razer Seiren Elite Headset: Razer Nari Ultimate
  2. He attempted it and nothing changed at all
  3. Nothing displays at all apparently. The monitor lights up for a few seconds, tries to connect, and immediately then goes black
  4. Just checked with him, it was tested with both the gpu attached and completely removed
  5. Alright, after more clarification of the issue, I can no longer class this as a "wont boot" issue. Ill explain now. According to my friend once the power button is hit everything starts working correctly. The gpu fans, and all case fans start spinning, all lighting from the pc turns on, the keyboard, monitor, and mouse all light up as you'd expect. But after a couple of seconds of trying to connect, the mouse, keyboard, and monitor (and only these 3), all stop functioning (for the monitor both the gpu and the intel graphics were tested with same result as mentioned before), but the rest of the pc is on and appears to be functioning despite not being able use the aforementioned features and therefore the pc as a whole
  6. Hey guys, I got word from a friend of mine that he was having issues he didn't know how to solve, so in an effort to aid him i've created this post, and want to thank all who see this for your time and help. Simply put from his explanation, the PC that was performing great no longer boots. He explains that he used to use it a lot, multiple hours a day, nearly every day in the week and then that suddenly stopped due to work. As he puts it, throughout the past 3-4 months, the pc has gotten near no use, and when he tried to use it again, it wouldnt work. The pc in question is a prebuilt from HP. The model is Hp omen 870-011ng. Unfortunately the only versions ive found online are in german but here is the amazon link anyway: https://www.amazon.de/OMEN-870-011ng-i7-6700K-Geforce-Windows/dp/B01NBU75GF The pc has an i7-6700k, a gtx 1070, 16gb of ram, and what appears to be a custom hp motherboard. He has tried all the connectors and cables to make sure everything is still plugged in. He has done the mandatory "swap plugs," concerning everything from the hdmi cable used, to the power plug. I recommended he remove and re-insert both the ram, ssd, and hdd, but no fix was found there. He thought it might be gpu related, but even with the hdmi cable plugged into the motherboard directly, nothing changed. I appreciate any and all help you can provide!
  7. The connectors are fine, and besides using the screwdriver to boot failed as well, as mentioned above, so the pc should have booted even if the connectors weren’t functioning
  8. Hi all, before i start i just want to thank you in advance for your time. So earlier this summer (june) I built a PC in my parents home. As a uni student I spend most my time in another country and just wanted a device to be able to use at home. Between June and end of August everything worked wonderfully without a single issue. Then end august I had to return to studies and just came back yesterday. I went to turn on the PC today and it wouldnt boot. The motherboard glows indicating there is some manner of power, however when using the on switch, nothing happens. The fans dont start spinning, it just remains completely as it is with a glowing motherboard. I tried the screwdriver start as well and nothing happened. I tried clear CMOS and start again, and nothing. I checked every cable, my RAM, my SSHD, and my gpu, and have removed and reinsterted them to have nothing change. I suspect the PSU might be the issue but seeing as some form of power is being delivered to the motherboard to allow it to the rgb lights to function, i am very unsure. To add, when using the screwdriver power-on technique, i heard something similar to a scrathing noise (of a duration of 1-2 seconds every 30 seconds), but could not pinpoint the source. here is my partslist: CPU: Ryzen 5 - 1600 (with stock cooler) @ 3.5 GHz GPU: Asus gtx 1060 3g dual OC RAM: 8gb (2x4) ballistix 2400mhz PSU: Corsair CX650M MOBO: Asus strix b350-f Case: Corsair Crystal 570x SSHD: 2tb Firecudda Other: 2 extra chassis 120 fans Once again, thank you for all your time and help in advance.
  9. Hey guys, posting for a friend without an account here, figured you could help him out! Now from what he explains I believe the problem is motherboard or system memory related. Maybe when alt tabbing his systems memories is insufficient? He says that whenever he is gaming (and only gaming) it triggers randomly (but especially when he tabs in and out). His mouse freezes for 5 seconds before becoming responsive and then doesn’t work correctly (slows down) until he reboots. Apparently this also affects the keyboard. He has told me he has tried different peripherals in different usb slots. He disagrees with my motherboard theory claiming it shouldn’t be if it only happens in game, but the RAM theory could be spot on? Would appreciate a second opinion! Thank you in advance for your time guys!
  10. Thank you very much, everything works wonderfully now.
  11. Soooo, I noticed my laptop was slowing down quite a bit, especially when I've been gaming. Normally i'd turn the other way as the laptop is around 3-4 years old now, but when it started having trouble with csgo, on low-ish settings, I decided to check it out, and while glancing at my task manager, noticed that only my Integrated Intel HD graphics were being used instead of the Gtx 960M my laptop comes with. I then went online and followed the steps to change the settings for which gpu was used. To my dismay however, when i tried to set my High-performance NVIDIA processor as my preferred graphics processor, I was met with a wonderful message stating "access denied" (also tried this step using the "run as administrator" function and it gave the same result). In case it helps, you should find an attached image displaying both the error message, as well as the task manager performance tab. I believe this only started happening after I updated my GPU through Geforce experience, however considering I havent properly used this laptop for the past 5 months or so at least, I can not be sure. Most solves I found online are concerning a 2015 and 2016 Geforce experience update that caused it, but I have seen 0 recent threads, which is why I thought to post here before trying anything else. Any and all help would be extremely appreciated
  12. This is what it says... what do i do?
  13. @suchamoneypit @Farden i have tried without it. The only times i have been able to enter windows is when i access the boot settings and select boot override and choosing my HDD (while the windows media tool is in). This makes no sense to me, as i installed windows with only my M.2 drive in. it still wont boot windows and i really dont know what to do. normally speaking, i should be able to boot off of just my m.2 provided my OS is on it. oh and i better add this in but, i dont have my case yet, i was just trying to get ahead by doing some of my installs before it gets here tomorrow. Doubt this would make a difference but felt like i needed to mention it nonetheless
  14. I have my m.2 as my first, my seagate as my second, and the third and the fourth are there cause of the windows 10 media usb key
  15. Hey guys, before i get started, to make this easier i shall detail my specs below. PSU: Corsair HX850i GPU: Asus Strix 1080ti OC edition CPU: i7-8700k Motherboard: Asus ROG MAXIMUS X Hero (wifi ac) SSD: Samsung NVMe SSD 960 PRO M.2 512GB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 4tb RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB 3200Mhz AIO: NZXT kraken x52 Case: Corsair crystal 570x alright so im having 2 problems currently and i believe they have something to do with each other. Everything was going fine (ive done 3-4 builds before), i installed the OS and selected the M.2 drive to use to boot off of. Both issues will be detailed below Whenever I turn on my pc, it goes right to the BIOS boot screen instead of the windows boot screen. I have already fixed the boot order and pretty much the only way i currently get it to boot into windows is by constantly turning it off and on again until it randomly does so. When I am using the pc, i noticed that i can not see my Seagate Barracuda drive when in "my computer", all i see is my m.2 with 400 odd GB of storage left. However i can indeed see it in computer management as a disk 2 of drive (C:). https://gyazo.com/98f08cf16ff3466c63d08989c15694b4 I am thinking I did something stupid, but have no clue how to fix it and would very very much appreciate your help
