m0n5t3r got a reaction from yourdietsucks in $899 NZD Samsung 4k Monitor
Pre-ordered one from Computerlounge.
Yes it maybe a TN panel, but I don't really care for an IPS panel. I am not a professional, I don't rely on accurate colours, the "Viewing angle" is just fine. I look at my monitor dead on anyway.
The screen real estate is what I'm looking for. Plus if I decide to run some games, TN panels have a greater response time.

m0n5t3r got a reaction from 8521546 in Asus VG248QE 144Hz 1080p 1ms, worth it?
I had a go at a FPS game on a 120Hz monitor they were showing off in my retailer, the difference is really night and day.
In general it's a smoother experience.

m0n5t3r reacted to LinusTech in Recommend Me A Case!
When did everyone stop recommending the HAF X? It's only $160 and has GREAT air cooling. I personally don't think it's the best looking thing ever, but to each his own...

m0n5t3r got a reaction from TechFan@ic in Worth getting an AMD 8 core?
Well for gaming, a AMD FX 8150 or the 8350 is a perfect choice.
It's cheap, the platform is cheaper, it performs within margin of error (about 2%) of the Intel Core i5 3570k in games, and in some scenarios better.
