  1. Does anyone know of any guide or YT vid that shows how to make a fully custom chrome theme (buttons, text colors, etc. - not just the default chrome customization options or downloading themes). I can't seem to find a tutorial for it. Edit: I have little to no web programming skills but I'm willing to learn it or follow a tutorial for this purpose.
  2. Yeah, it looks like it is a BitLocker recovery key - still asks this before I can go into safe mode. will try this method
  3. idk if it's from bitlocker, prolly not since it's asking me to login to microsoft to get the recover key ID. This is something we probably couldn't get anyway because the previous owner is not easy to reach out. Tried "Reset this PC" again but it's no longer asking me. Instead it says "There was a problem resetting this PC"
  4. Heyo! I'm helping out a friend who accidentally deleted their user's folder and now they can't log in. If gives me an error of "The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in. User profile cannot be loaded" when trying to log in. Restarting didn't help. I thought I could skip the recovery step and just proceed with reformating since I was going to do it anyway but it's asking a recovery key ID which we don't know. This is a 2nd hand laptop they bought from another friend. Been looking for options online but most involve signing in to an account. Edit: There's only 1 profile on the laptop.
  5. Okay, so it seems like I managed to fix it by following this tutorial: In the CMD (via advance start), I managed to find the drive (wasn't listed as C: - in my case it got changed to E:) that had the issue and ran CHKDSK /F on that drive and got it working. Regardless, thank you all for trying to help me. I really appreciate your time and effort.
  6. tried restarting again, still nothing. idk if something maybe wrong with my drive now.
  7. tried the dism command and scan again and got this but still dirty:
  8. nothing happened after the restart. When it boots, it shows the "scanning and repairing" text but no progress bar. Just booted straight to login. Drive is still dirty.
  9. okay, if it's anything from the one I followed earlier it's going to take a couple of hours, I'll be back with an update later
  10. Trying these now. After the chkdsk c: /scan, gave me a "Windows has found problems that must be fixed offline. Please run "chkdsk /f" to fix the issues" Should I continue with the list you guys provided or follow the "chkdsk /f"?
  11. Drive in question is a WD nvme (wdc wds512g1x0c-00enx0) - PC is around 4+ years old - windows 10 pro ver. 22H2
  12. Hi guys, my pc keeps on scanning and repairing C: during boot up after a power outage earlier this morning. From the other pics and vids that I see, there's a progress but mine doesn't show any and just continues with the boot up anyway. I'm getting the Maintenance error below but I've tried that and it doesn't work: I've also followed this YT vid, took me 3+ hours to finish scanning and it said it didn't find any errors but the same thing happens: I tried doing the other things I google searched as well but still, it continues to prompt that it's scanning and repairing without showing any progress. Any idea how to fix this?
  13. I'll try and find the warranty on this. I think this is going 6-7 years now so I'm not sure if I'm still covered. I expected some issues since it's relatively old but I'm just hoping that it's just the monitor and not the GPU.
  14. I'm using an Asus RTX2080 - tried turning my 2nd monitor as my main and it doesn't have faint horizontal lines Will try the HDMI cable again later after my work. But no, when I first tried the spare HDMI, I forgot that I had to change the input on the monitor settings. Update: Even with 60hz refresh rate, the lines are now showing.
  15. Correction: It seems I just can't tell between the two since I just checked again and I'm apparently already using a DP cable. Found a spare HDMI but it won't display anything. I can't remember if this is a faulty cable but it does look like one of my HDMI ports are busted since my 2nd monitor also won't display anything when I connect it to the port. All in all, I'm hoping that it might just be a DP cable issue. I'll check for DP cable prices in my area and try to get a new one. For now, I'll just drop down to 60hz to remove most of the lines. If you have other things I could try, please let me know.
  16. I'll check if I have a spare HDMI cable. I'm also using the monitor as my speakers (comes built-in) and I don't think the display port carries audio (not sure on this)? I'm trying to see other options before going out to buy a new HDMI cable (relatively expensive in my country).
  17. Heyo, I'm starting to see faint horizontal lines in my main monitor but not on my 2nd monitor. It's hard to capture with a photo but it's barely noticeable to my other family members but I can see it (probably since I spend a lot of time in my PC). It's most prominent on white-grey backgrounds and barely noticeable on darker backgrounds. I have a Acer XB271HU and I'm only getting the lines on the whole screen when I set it at 144hz refresh rate. When I drop it down to 60hz most of the lines disappear (i can still see a few at the top). I've tried power cycling my pc with all connections removed and updated my drivers. Is this a bad HDMI Display port cable or is it something worse? Edit: I've also tried switching ports and flipping the HDMI Display port cable. Either no difference or the display just won't load at all. Edit 2: I'm using DP cable instead of HDMI.
  18. I haven't logged-in in literal years at this point. Ever since I switched to gmail, I haven't looked back. But thank you for the insight, I'll try other means to see if I can forget about my yahoo email and update my Garena instead.
  19. Heyo everyone! I've been trying to update all my credentials but I have an account on Garena tied to a very old Yahoo email that I can't log in. I don't want to lose all my years of progress on my LoL account there but customer services won't allow me to update my email unless if I can get back in to my Yahoo account. I've tried all the passwords and combinations that I can remember using but none of them seem to work. Unfortunately, I can't remember my answers to the security questions as well. Again, this is a very old email (close to 10 years I believe). Is there any hope of recovery here or is this just lost? Edit: As far as I can remember, I don't think my current email and phone number has been listed as recovery options as well since I tried them and didn't get any verification code.
  20. All good for now! Somehow walking away it just resolved itself. If you have any idea, please drop it down below so I can try it next time around.
  21. Hello Friends, I come to you again seeking assistance. I got a pair of TOZO-T6 as a present a few weeks back. It was working well with my PC for a while but just a few moments ago, it refuses to connect properly. It works fine when connected to my phone. After some digging, I just can't get it to work with my PC anymore. It says it's connected but checking the available outputs, it says it's disconnected for some reason. I've updated all the drivers to no avail. P.S. I'm using a bluetooth dongle as I don't have native bluetooth.
  22. Thanks for the advice but none of them worked for me. Besides, I already know what's gonna happen but just wanted to play through it again. I just gave up and console commanded the quest to a point where i dont need to go near them. I'm not confident in installing mods outside of the FO4 menu and I don't want to potentially corrupt the save. Anyway, thanks again for the help, I appreciate it!
  23. Heyo, the game keeps closing out whenever I get near the amphitheater to discover it when I'm in this quest. Anyone know a fix? Mods in use (all from FO4 Mod Menu): UFO4P Weightless junk Unli Companion Ammo Settings are on the lowest setting even though my rig can handle it just fine. I notice the GPU spike to 99-ish% (weapon debris already off).
