  1. I’m getting the full speed with my computer hardwired. I feel like it could be an issue with the tv, but just wasn’t positive. Also, I haven’t messed with bridging yet, don’t know how to check if it’s N/AC or just AC, and haven’t checked for channel overlap yet. I’m moving in a few days to a different apartment and just wanted to check on this before I moved. How do I check those those things? I know there is a channel thing in the app to check for the best channels available. Not sure how to do the other stuff. Also, is there any practical way to run Ethernet cables through the apartment without having them all over the floor or ceiling? Thanks for the responses.
  2. I am trying to get the best performance out of my network, and I’m struggling. I have Xfinity 250mbps internet. Here is what I’m needing assistance with. First, I have the XFi gateway, and get atrocious WiFi speeds. My TCL tv only gets 25-30mbps on WiFi. Sad thing is it only gets 70mbps hardwired. Any idea why? Second, I have a Linksys Velop mesh network setup. How can I get the best performance out of this? Also, same thing with the TV. Connected to mesh network I get very low mbps download. Finally, any recommendations on running Ethernet cables to cover my entire apartment? I can’t really do cable drops throughout since I’m renting. Any additional advice or recommendations are appreciated.
  3. I just got a new PC and monitor, and I feel like I'm running into some issues. First off, let me start with specs: i5-7600k GTX 1080 Ti 16gb ddr4 2400 RMx 1000 PSU Windows 10 a few SSD's and an HDD H60 AIO Monitor - Dell S2716DG 1440p 144hz gsync Here's the issue I'm having. I just loaded up BF1, put settings on Ultra and set resolution to 1440p 144hz (whatever was closest to that, wasn't exact), and in game it said I was only getting 40-60 fps. I feel like this is extremely low, so I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe my expectations are just too high? If there are any things that could resolve this potential problem, I would greatly appreciate the advice.
  4. Thanks. I apologize if I sounded like a jerk, it wasn't my intention. But I do appreciate the help. I may save up for the S2716DG, but not sure yet. I have access to some deals from Dell and may be able to get it for $450 next month. Just not sure yet. But I really appreciate the help.
  5. That's why I'm asking for freesync as opposed to gsync. I realize I won't be able to utilize it, but I'm wanting the 144hz more than gsync/freesync, so I can just disable freesync and still have my 144hz. I know that freesync is less expensive than gsync, so that's why I asked for that.
  6. Ok, one last question. What if I choose a 144z 2560x1440 monitor with freesync? I can get the resolution and refresh rate that I want, but I'll have freesync which I can't use, which is fine. I can still utilize either vsync or nvidia fast sync, correct? Anybody know of any monitors that fit these specifications that are relatively inexpensive (not cheap). $400 is max.
  7. Sounds good. I'm not sure that I understand how to use the BIOS in this system, so I might have to check some video tutorials or something. Hopefully this is as easy as it seems... also, no one button to automatically overclock to a reasonable level?
  8. Do I need to mess with voltage or anything like that? On my old pc, there was a "one touch overclock" option where I just clicked it and the mobo automatically overclocked to something stable. I was wondering if this motherboard offered something similar, since I'm not totally sure on how to mess with voltages and things like that.
  9. I have a new pc on the way and I am wanting to overclock the cpu. Nothing too crazy though. I'm not familiar with ASRock overclocking in BIOS, and I'm wanting to make sure I go about doing this the right way and don't screw anything up. The specs of my build are as follows: ASRock Z270 Killer SLI/AC i5-7600k 16GB DDR4-2400 Corsair H60 1000W PSU (Overkill, but I got a good deal on it) GTX 1080 Ti If anybody could provide some sort of easy to follow guide on overclocking with ASRock BIOS, or even tested/stable settings, I would be grateful. I am only looking to go to 4.3-4.5, so nothing too insane. Please help! Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and respond.
  10. Is 1080p 144hz going to be alright for gaming? I've been told that the 144hz is more important than the higher resolution. So, if I go with 1080p 144hz, do you think that would be better?
  11. I just joined the forum after lurking here for awhile. I just ordered my new PC and am now in need of a new monitor to go along with it. I am looking for a 27" monitor, and I would like it to be 2560x1440 if possible. What are the best options for $350 USD or less? The specs of my system are as follows: i5-7600k ASRock Z270 Killer SLI/AC lga 1151 16gb RAM DDR4-2400 GTX 1080 Ti 1000W Corsair RMx RM1000X 500gb M.2 ssd boot drive I think that's all the important stuff. Thanks in advance for your responses.
