  1. do you have a link to what you're talking about. I'm not sure I understand
  2. So I have 4 monitors connected to my graphics card. Sometimes with a particular high demanding game, I only use one monitor to devote maximum GPU resources to the game. When I am playing a high demanding game, I've noticed that my performance increases after manually disconnecting the video cables to the 3 extraneous monitors. If I simply turn the monitors off with the power button, my in-game performance seems to imply that the GPU is still spending resources on processing video information for these other monitors. I can only get the best performance by physically disconnecting the monitors, rather than just turning them off. How can I ensure no video information is sent to the extra monitors even if they are off without physically disconnecting anything? I have an AMD card. The performance increase is considerable after disconnecting the off monitors.
  3. I am having a strange problem when I startup my laptop and open chrome. I open it to just one tab, but I noticed in task manager it has 18 items being opened. They are taking up a ton of CPU and memory, and my laptop feels crazy hot. The number of chrome instances slowly increases over time it seems. Is this something I should be worried about? Is it a sign of malware or a virus? I don't know why it's using the GPU either.
  4. Those portable hotspot devices seemed a little pricey. I was hoping to get something for a little cheaper. And the convenience of having it inside of my laptop seemed nice. But yeah most of the ones I saw were ~$300
  5. Would I need anything else to use that with? Like this for example: https://www.amazon.com/Timack-NGFF-Mini-PCI-Adapter/dp/B07SJRZHNN/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=m.2+sim&qid=1638921587&sr=8-4
  6. I just purchased an MSI Sword 15 recently, and I was wondering if there is a way to add cellular capabilities to it with something like an m.2 add-on. I have an extra sim card with AT&T that I have been wanting to use. Is this possible? What hardware would I need to make this work?
  7. Budget (including currency): $800-$1000 Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video editing, Photo Editing, Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): PC will NOT be used for gaming. Main and sole purpose is to be a 'professional' workstation. I've done a lot of Gaming PC builds, but I am not sure if for a professional workstation focused build, the components would be much different at this price point. Is a good gaming PC also a decent workstation? What matters more for this application, CPU or GPU power? My initial idea: Ryzen 5 3600 or 3600x Radeon 5600XT GPU SSD 32 GB RAM
  8. If a video turns black when I click on it, that video will permanently not work. But other videos will work. It's kind of random which videos turn black, but consistent from there on. (I can click on the same video and it will always be black, or always work). I disabled extensions and it still was not working. It only happens on youtube from what I can tell. It works fine in Microsoft Edge.
  9. I am having trouble playing some youtube videos when I am using a chrome browser. Sometimes, when I click a youtube video, the whole chrome browser will turn black and the audio will keep playing. I can still interact with the page, and go back, but the screen is black. I opened up the same videos on edge and they worked. Does anyone know what would be causing this? Again, it is the whole browser window that turns back, not just the video. PC Specs: R5 3600 Radeon 5700 Windows 10
  10. Is there a way to move the recycle bin to the D drive instead of on the C drive? I am trying to save space on my SSD boot drive, so I wanted to have any recycle bin contents be stored onto my 1 Tb HDD.
  11. My bios and starting boot screen for the motherboard is all messed up. I assume this is a motherboard problem and that I should return it asap? Everything works fine once it boots into windows. These graphics errors are only in the bios and boot screens.
  12. I recently purchased an R5 3600, 2x8gb ddr4-3000 memory, and an ASRock b450 pro4 motherboard. Is it essentially just plug and play from here or should I worry about updating the bios or something before proceeding?
  13. Thoughts on the Huawei M5 Pro tablet with the M-pen? Apparently that has palm rejection as well.
