Rampakslue got a reaction from TheKDub in AMD reduces Navi GPU Prices before launch
So it looks like AMD is reducing the prices for RX 5700 series GPU before launch in response to Nvidia's RTX Super lineup. This seems to make the new Navi GPU's an even better performance/cost option. There's even a theory going around that the original pricing were all a bait for Nvidia on their Super lineup pricing and it's based off of Scott Herkelman's tweet (linked below). Whether this was planned or is more of a marketing strategy is unknown, but this "battle" between AMD and Nvidia on the graphics side can only mean better prices and performance options gamers and consumers now and in the future.
Edit: ty @seon123, I didn't realize that the link wouldn't generate an autopicture. Here's the picture tweeted by AMD with the updated prices.

Rampakslue reacted to poochyena in AMD reduces Navi GPU Prices before launch
I feel bad for reviews who probably already finished videos/articles with the old pricing baked in. Especially linus since they normally have a price to performance scale.

Rampakslue got a reaction from suits in Why is this Dell 144hz cheaper, and help choosing between 4 monitors
The reason why the Dell monitor is cheaper than the others is because while the others are IPS monitors the Dell monitor is a TN monitor. IPS displays offers better color accuracy, better color gamut, and better viewing angles than TN does and is more expensive to produce, not to mention that TN has a much easier time achieving higher refresh rates than IPS does so the IPS display needs to be of better quality to reach such high refresh rates compared to TN displays.
