You might have just got lucky, I had a similar experience where i didnt place my cpu in the slot completely correct and closed the clamp on it which broke a pin, if the cpu's pins look fine and everything works after some stress tests, should be fine, just keep an eye out

ok thanks, they seem to perform fairly similarly tbh nvidia does seem to have a small lead tho so i guess it’ll just be up to what’s available when i’m ready to buy.

Im after a founders 3080, will it be really hard to buy one? Im getting quite worried they will go out of stock really quick and i will miss it (ive never bought a gpu at launch)

ill just stick with the ones it comes with now and maybe swap them out for the corsair ones another time

Guys. If the OP had the money to buy a 1080 then he would buy a 1080. The notion that you need to choose a card solely based off performance per dollar figures is such a narrow, thoughtless idea that I don't even know why you bothered to contribute it.
 
A GTX 1070 costs anywhere from $150 - $200 more than a 1060. A GTX 1080 costs twice as much as a 1060, and not to mention draws 50% more power. Didn't even bother to consider if the OP's computer could accommodate a 1080, let alone should it. Who cares about performance per dollar if you can't even afford it. That's like saying instead of buying the base model Ford Focus, buy the fully loaded Mustang.
 
There are multiple reasons to consider a gpu including but not limited to: performance per dollar, performance per watt, cost, power draw, performance, size, amount of vram, cooling performance, etc. So I don't understand why this forum is generally always so quick to inject an opinion with no explanation and no consideration of use application.

Im pretty sure the bracket is universal on all am4 mobos

Oh yeah i see it now, must not have loading and i scrolled passed it, yeah im gonna go with that, it looks really nice

maybe your gpu isnt designed to have it's fans turned off and constantly needs to be cooled or it overheats, maybe it is a safety protocol to ensure it doesn't get damaged.

the kraken has another year warranty than the corsair hydro and ive submitted a ticket to nzxt asking about leak coverage

Noctua seems to get a lot of praise but I don't know a lot about fans and stuff
