  1. Hmm ok. I will check the review when the monitor comes out. Otherwise, I can just wait for a refresh/newer version with HDMI 2.1/DP 2.0. Thanks!
  2. The title is the question. Why I'm asking is because Samsung's upcoming Odyssey monitor (G7) can run 1440p resolution at 240hz (HDR 600 supported). I don't want to bother with chroma subsampling because I find it very distracting. I used Glenwing's calculator and got these results for 8 bit (Can't take 8bit + FRC on this calculator, and 10bit is 30.77 Gbit/s) Data Rate Required: 24.62 Gbit/s Video Format: 2560 × 1440 (16∶9 ratio) at 240 Hz 8 bpc (24 bit/px) RGB color Uncompressed CVT-R2 timing format While I'm at it does 8bit + FRC add extra bandwidth to Displayport 1.4 compared to just using 8 bit? I want to know because I'm interested in HDR gaming and don't want to deal with chroma subsampling in the future when graphics card can do 1440p@240hz w/ HDR. Kindly regards, Cool Toolbar
  3. Hello! I wonder if there is a monitor with 8 bit + FRC with a high refresh rate (with or above 144hz and 1440p)? I use my computer for gaming and content creation (Photo/Video editing). Kindly Regards, Joro
  4. I'm thinking of building an AMD build for gaming/content creation and AMD is gonna release AMD Navi later during H2 2018. Should I wait or can I just go with a VEGA card for 1440p@144fps and be completely fine (If the cards can handle it when we get to see reviews from third party reviewers)? I'm gonna build my new rig late 2017/early 2018. Regards, Joro
  5. Hello, what is the best dual monitor setup for gaming and productivity? The only requirements I have is both of the monitors has to support VESA, both monitors have to be 1440p (2560x1440) and IPS. The other monitor (the one I'm gonna use while I'm gaming) should at least have above 144 Hz in refresh rate (if it's possible). If both of the monitors have a minimalistic design it's a huge plus. Budget: ...Uh, don't have one right now.
  6. Wait too clear? wow what onboard "sound card" do you have in your computer?
  7. Hello, guys! I'm currently looking for a new microphone to my setup, my little yeti microphone died yesterday when I was playing some games. What are you guys thought on the mod mic 5.0 and what sound card should I get with it?
  8. I would go for the MSI if I were you so you can follow your colour scheme + it's very silent during heavy loads.
