So im planning to take a 2.5 inch hdd from my old laptop and get an adapter and stick it in my pc. Would it work normally if i install all the proper drivers, cpu, gpu boot up correctly or would it still think im using my old laptop and fk everything over if anyone has set it up or knows how to do it, plz tell me, i want to save 100$ and get windows and an ssd later

i might just skip the ssd in my build for an old hard drive temporary, and get a 1080 instead for an additional 30%ish performance boost

i was planning on getting a 1070 strix and over a month the price on increased about 20cad, which about 15 usd. So either ill get that for around $580 CAD, or i can get the asus dual 1070 for about 537$, (price didn't change at all)

so i live in canada right, so these cards are still in stock , but have at least gone up by 50-80$. I wanted to build a decent rig for the summer but with these stupid prices on the rise i dont think i can so should i either 1. Get an i7 7700k and play on integrated gpu 2. wait for vega releasing in july 3. get a gtx 1080 for another 150-300$ 4. or just get a 1070 Anyone else mad with these stupid bitcoin miners?

corsair 400c maybe?

So the corsair 400c white is the case that im planning to get. Im looking for fans for it. Im either considering the corsair af120 white led (quiet edition) or bequiet pure wings 2 140mm. I like how corsair one looks with the leds but i also like how sleek the bequiet ones are. Which one would u recommend

im planning on getting the corsair air 240 which is a very small case. im wondering if i should use a gtx 1070 founders edition or if i can get by using a 1070 strix. If it only makes my pc a bit louder by using the strix because the insides would be hotter, its fine

is there a problem with getting a 1440p monitor thats 23 inches, i dont think so. I like the pixel density.

i heard the 1070 can do that, but the only reason why i'd go with a 1080 is for future proofing, after i get this build, the only ill probably upgrade is ram and storage
