  1. YEEES Cablemod cables for sure! Thank you for reminding me and the Corsair info!
  2. I mean... I can buy a better one. Any personal recommendations and what wattage is good for the build?
  3. Budget (including currency): $3500 but can be more... Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video Editing, Gaming at 2K (144hz) / Games Development/Rendering. Whats up guys! Hope everyone is well, So... I have been waiting for a long time to build a MONSTER rig for my work/gaming needs. I am approaching this with the mindset of future proofing for many years to come, and the only things that would be added were things like additional disk space and different peripherals etc. ~ Until a new build was needed WAAAY down the line. I am very tempted to go for a somewhat overkill custom water loop build just because I have waited for so long. Some components listed will be overkill, and others just considered high end in today's market.. so with that in mind... here is what I have come up with: IMPORTANT NOTE: I am not creating an entire build from scratch, some components I will be keeping in this new build. Anything with a strikethrough is already acquired. CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor CPU Cooler: EK-VELOCITY RGB AMD CPU WATER BLOCK - NICKEL + PLEXI Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Formula ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Royal 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive -- (I have another SSD & 2x HDD's already in use) Video Card: Asus GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB ROG Strix Gaming OC Video Card OR 3000 series Nvidia Graphics Card following the announcement on Sept 1st 2020. I would likely wait for an aftermarket card. Case: Thermaltake View 32 TG ATX Mid Tower Case Case Fans: Noctua or some kind of LED Corsair silent fans (any recommendations are welcome) PSU: Corsair CX 850M Fully Modular Power Supply Reservoir/Pump: EK-XRES 250 SPC PWM CLASSIC RGB PUMP / RESERVOIR COMBO – PLEXI ^ HELP! - This will be my first custom water loop build and I am unsure of what fittings/best tubing are most recommended. I would SERIOUSLY appreciate any guidance with this specific area of the build. The Reservior/Pump combo from EK seems to be well received online, but any other opinions on ANYTHING in this build with regards to better alternatives would be awesome! Overall, I just want the build to look badass. I have lighting stuff such as LED strips already acquired, so that's taken care of. Thank you so much for taking the time to read. ~ Zakara
  4. Hey! Thanks for the info! I think the UMC22 looks like a much better option as you are right, I have no need for a mixer and decided against the original interface I linked. I'm familiar with podcastage and have been watching some of his videos to learn more... or try to. I'll swap out the mixer in my order I had before for the UMC22 as its cheap and simple. Really appreciate the information, helps out a lot! Thanks Sloth! Jack
  5. Does anyone know if this will work with the specs I have mentioned above? https://www.amazon.co.uk/ammoon-5-Channel-Interface-Recording-Broadcast/dp/B078S8QTH4/ref=sr_1_5?crid=2TY5ZZB2F0EPP&dchild=1&keywords=audio+interface&qid=1587117459&refinements=p_36%3A405446031%2Cp_72%3A405434031&rnid=405433031&s=musical-instruments&sprefix=audio%2Cmi%2C143&sr=1-5 Found it and its quite an affordable mixer with good reviews. Not sure if I need a specific voltage for the condenser mic's. I'm reading in some places that I need a 48V mixer or something? Cheers!
  6. Awesome! Really useful info, thank you very much dude. Appreciate it. I'll be going with a AT 2035 and a $30 ish mic arm. Just need to decide upon an interface and im all set. Cheers! Appreciate the help Semper!
  7. Ah nice! This is really helpful, thank you!. So if I was to get the Scarlett Solo instead of the 502, is it just a case of plugging the XLR input from the 2035 into the interface, then the interface to USB? Will I need anymore cables? In terms of a mic arm, is it a case of you can pick up a generic arm and it will fit most microphones? Or is there any specifics I need to look out for? Sorry for all the questions haha, as mentioned I'm very new to all this. Cheers
  8. Hi guys, hope we are all well and staying safe. So... I have a $250 budget for an entirely new microphone setup and I have only ever used a traditional headset and basic microphone on a stand. I'm looking for a condenser mic using an XLR input and I will need an audio interface that can connect to my PC via USB along with a mic arm all for $250 if possible. I'm very new to this whole other side of things with audio so any help would be greatly appreciated! Microphone: After looking at reviews and the price of the "Audio-Technica 20 Series AT2035 Cardioid Condenser Side Address Microphone", it seems like a good option and one of good quality. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002T45X1G/ref=crt_ewc_img_srh_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2OZDCM2SDJCA2 Audio Interface: In terms of an audio interface, i'm not looking for anything major in my first setup. Essentially, I just need a starter interface so I stumbled across the "Behringer 302USB Xenyx 5 Input Mixer". Again, it seems like a relatively low cost, solid mixer for around $50. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005EHILV4/ref=crt_ewc_img_dp_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1FEL2CWJXR5UG Mic Arm: That leaves me with around $50 for a mic arm that can attach to my desk, I am looking for one that is strong and the construction is solid so I wont have to replace it in the near future, but also don't want to spend excessive amounts on just the arm. The main thing I am confused about is how the AT 2035 will connect to the mic arm. I'm assuming that I have to ensure that the threaded mounting system matches on both the mic arm and the microphone itself? Again, I am very, very new to this side of computer tech so any help and links to anything $50 or under for a mic arm would be fantastic! Thank you for reading, Cheers, Jack
  9. Hey Everyone! I am looking to replace the stock fans that came with my AIO water cooler for noise purposes. When playing games and also when the system is under heavy load, the noise is still rather noticeable so I'm looking to find some affordable quiet fans with some RGB LED's. I'm looking into swapping out my case for a "Thermaltake View 71 Tempered Glass RGB Edition". I currently have a NZXT Noctis 450. As for budget, I don't have money to just throw everywhere but will happily pay more if it means quiet performance. Essentially, I am looking for any recommendations on the best, silent (if possible) aftermarket 120mm fans. Thanks for reading, Jack.
  10. Around 1000 at idle/light load speeds, and it will speed up due to my fan curve to around 1500 ish when gaming. Thanks for the links! I'll take a look.
  11. I have the 4 stock fans that come with the NZXT Noctis 450. And also the two stock fans with my AIO.
  12. Specs listed below: AMD - Ryzen 7 1800X 3.6GHz 8-Core Processor Corsair - H115i 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING Z 8G Corsair - Vengeance LED 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory Corsair - CXM 850W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply Samsung Evo 180GB SSD Western Digital 2TB Hard Drive Seagate Barracuda 3TB Hard Drive I'm shopping in the UK, and dont have a set budget but would prefer something affordable. I'm looking into Corsair's fans, seem quite promising.
  13. Thank you guys! I'll take a look into everything you mentioned Much appreciated.
