  1. I put this in cpu/mb because this is no longer a gpu issue. Since removing my card my system still boots up fine (Windows 11 boot up sound still plays out of my monitors) but doesn’t output a display on my panel. Things I’ve tried -Reseating, and eventually removing my gpu -reseating ram -reseating all power connectors -cmos reset by unplugging every cable, removing the cmos battery, and shorting the reset pins out with a screwdriver for 30+ seconds. I am very close to packing this board up and replacing it with an asus strix because this is not the first VGA light I’ve gotten from it, but I’d like to see if there’s any saving this yet.
  2. So I'll admit, I know absolutely nothing about thunderbolt 3. But what i want to do is have one setup where i have a desktop computer (with tb3 card) for gaming, and when I need to work on something on my laptop, I can plug it in to a thunderbolt dock that switches it to all my monitors and USB devices. What do i need to buy and how to set it up? (Btw one of my monitors have 144hz, and I'd like to still utilize that. Both are 1080 however)
  3. I'm not sure how to do this, I have a full setup I use with a msi gs63vr, which I plan to switch for a custom pc and a dell xps 13 for music production. My question is how to hot-swap my setup from the pc to the laptop without disconnecting everything and plugging it back in. My idea was a thunderbolt 3 dock with a usb hub but I want some other opinions. I also have two monitors, one of which is a 144hz panel and I'd like to keep that refresh rate.
  4. I actually think that would be perfect. I was thinking wood lined with Alcantara, and PC fans where the ventilation is. The ports was where I was nervous
  5. I want to make something like this (https://hengedocks.com/pages/vertical-macbook-pro-retina) But I have no idea how to approach it.
  6. Title says the main point. These are for main studio monitors for mixing (not mastering) Edm, mainly future bass.
  7. This is more like what i was looking for! I had a toshiba drive in my old laptop and it was probably the only good part that thing had.
  8. I really want to but i don't have the funds. If i did samsung 840 evo without a doubt.
  9. My definition of quiet is not audible 3 feet away. the laptop in question already has a 256 nvme drive, but it has a 1tb hard drive as well.
  10. Asus zephyrus, aours x7, and the Blade pro are your only options for a balanced of portibility and power. If you need more portibility, the gigabyte aero 15 and msi gs63vr are good choices. Alienware 15 and the MSI GT73VR Titan Pro come to mind.
  11. Funny I literally just bought this exact same laptop off of ebay two days ago. Ebay is a good place but you need to know what your doing. Always check the sellers rating (anything above a 95 is good) and contact the seller for warranty info. If he doesn't reply within 2 days, move on to the next one.
  12. I've done a lot of research for this and I've come to no conclusion. I need this for a msi gs63VR, which are known for having very loud hard drives. It'll be used in quiet classrooms so that will cause unwanted attention. I need a 1tb drive too, so ssd's are out of the question because since i just bought the laptop, I am flat broke. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
  13. If you have a razer core already I'd honestly get a dell xps 15 9560 with the 4k screen and a 1080(ti?) if you want true portability. This will save a lot of money of the laptop, and you can invest in a better sound system (I HIGHLY recommend the soundsticks III by Harmon Kardon, they sound as good as they look) The desk is ok, I built mine but you do you.The monitor is very overkill and idk how it'll work with a laptop being disconnected a lot since its a very different aspect ratio. If I were you i would get 2 or 3 monitors for the price of that one instead so you don't run into that. Just my input, take it how you may.
  14. Honestly the dual drive system in the msi was already making me lean to it but the fact that razer has non upgradable ram just sold me. If someone that owns a gs63vr can tell me how loud it is (will be used in quiet classrooms) and how I can turn down the fans that would be great.
