?? Nah. Maybe the connector itself, but most certainly not the cable.

Every apple cable ends up like this because they do not understand how to put function over form where it is important: strain relief. It was a problem on the original 30pin cables, it's still a problem now, meanwhile there are many many usb-c cables from the device manufacturers that include proper strain relief to prevent fraying.

USB c does more anyways... for instance, there is a reason the newer macbooks didn't use lightning for charging. why would apple not make someone using their whole ecosystem of products able to more conveniently use 1 apple charger

I mean rgb is cool and all, but i'm not into the flash lights aesthetic, I'd be just as happy building in a cardboard box boring case as long as the actual performance is good.

zxsq got a reaction from Dark Force in Verizon accused of throttling Netflix and YouTube, admits to “video optimization”
    From the verge

"Yesterday, we reported that Verizon Wireless appeared to be throttling Netflix traffic, — and today, the company seems to have come clean. In a statement provided to Ars Technica and The Verge, Verizon implicitly admitted to capping the traffic, blaming the issue on a temporary video optimization test."

"What customers saw wasn’t optimization, but a clear cap, with tests from Netflix’s speed-test tool showing measurably lower rates than non-Netflix tests."

Sure sounds like throttling, and net neutrality is still a thing right now.

"There are some exceptions to that for network management, but throttling a specific service is a textbook violation of those rules. Netflix traffic was clearly, tangibly being treated differently from other traffic, and customers hadn’t opted into any special service like Go90 that might justify it."

Other video streaming services seem to have been affected too, but did not have speed test features available.

So basically, not cool. Throttling video data to "an acceptable limit of 1080p" is not good. This is just another blow against a fair, open internet.

Every time they reduce the cost of encrypting mass data, the more businesses will take it up, so the lower the chance your personal data gets stolen. Sounds pretty good to me.

Why must every idea, innovation, breakthrough or trial receive derisory and condescending remarks on these forums, do some of you guys actually think you know more than the specialists who lead the world with this stuff?  It happens almost regardless what the news is.

I've worn Google Glass briefly.  It's awesome (and I didn't have the strain issues mentioned earlier), but at the same time...  Google was really optimistic when it pictured Glass as something that the general public would wear.

I don't need a dedicated external eyepiece just to record my day or remind me to turn left.  In its existing form, the technology is best for businesses where an always-visible display would really come in handy, like those warehouse workers.  Everyone else?  If you need fast access, get a smartwatch.

We should probably revisit the concept when you can fit it into contacts, and even then I'm not sure that people will rush to embrace the concept.  By then we might prefer Mass Effect-style holographic displays on our wrists.

      Cons:
40+pound case On my mobo, (MSI B350 Tomahawk Arctic) neither usb3 header is in a good spot for cablemanagement, The center grommets in the case are on a slope, and the bottom holes are right up on the bottom of the mobo No buzzer/speaker/beep inside and back are black even on the grey case. plastic 3.5 drive sleds in the back, but metal 3.5 drive shelves in front, and the drive mounting pins on the plastic ones seem chintzy 4 random screws on the front side of the basement make no sense, I think they might be a 2.5 ssd mount basement has a window to the power supply on the front Pros:
it looks so, so good. so many drive bay slots available, a max of like 10 if you order extra 3.5 brackets the 3.5 brackets all have 2.5 mount holes TBH these cons are minor. I still love the case.

Yup. I've got the gray one as well, and I've heard the airflow is terrible, and it's massive and a bit hard to move around when I'm messing with it, but it's big, sturdy, and soooo good looking.
