  1. its out of hand. I bought an msi gtx 1070 gaming x in july for $450, the exact same card is selling for over $900 on amazon and newegg rn....
  2. Okay so I think it's a memory leak somewhere but I have no idea how to go about detecting the cause. After a reboot, and opening all the same programs ram usage is at only 5Gb leaving me 11gb to use, so the reboot fixed my issue, I just want to know how to prevent it from happening now. Anyone know how to track down a memory leak?
  3. So I looked at my task manager today and my PC is using 11.1GB of memory with just this chrome tab, hwinfo, msi afterburner, discord, Mwbytes, and razer synapse open. I have 16Gb of ram and 66% is being used at a near idle.... When I take a look at the task manager none of these applications are even using a single gigabyte of Ram, none of this adds up. How do I find out what is using my ram and put a stop to it? attached is a screencap of my task manager
  4. My gpu is pretty quiet from what I can tell, its an msi gtx 1070 gaming x
  5. I have a Ryzen 1700 and I am looking to overclock it, I have an nzxt s340 elite. I've never had a water cooler before but I want one so I can get better temps with overclocking. What do you guys suggest? I've been looking at the corsair h100i v2 and the nzxt kraken x52 but ive seen reviews that say the pumps go bad really fast for both products, is this that common of an issue with aio coolers? is there any regular maintenance with AIO coolers that can help them last longer? thanks <3
  6. I have an 850 evo and I boot to windows in less than 10 seconds idk what youre talking about.
  7. So, I was looking at my gpu info in HWinfo (usually I'm watching the cpu because I have an overclock running on it) and I noticed there are three clock readings for my GTX 1070. A GPU clock, a GPU memory clock and a GPU Video Clock. I Know what the memory clock is, and I thought I knew what the core clock is, but I'd never heard of a video clock until now. It seems that my core clock in HWinfo is reporting almost 2ghz aswell which is much higher than the rated speed of my card (msi gtx 1070 gaming x) even when it's in overclock mode. The Video clock seems to align with the rated speeds of the card, but then what is the "GPU clock?" Can anyone tell me the difference between the GPU clock and the video clock, and point out why more core clock is noticeably higher? I'm not worried about it at all just curious..

Can I ask where you found/purchased a rev A04 Model from June 2017? I can't seem to find one and I'm coming across alot of reviews saying people ordered rev A04 models but got A03s.
  9. I could make it go higher I just don't want to because I'm on the stock cooler, and I'd rather keep my voltage below 1.3v.
  10. If I were you I would save the money and just buy a new mother board. I have an MSI x370 gaming pro carbon and ryzen 1700, posted on the first try, never had a boot issue. Overclocked to a modest but stable 3.7ghz @ 1.275v, its been nothing but good to me. There are definitely some issues floating around in certain bios versions though, mainly with overclocking and multipliers getting locked at 15x, i've never personally encountered any such issues.
