mrcharlz reacted to GOTSpectrum in LTT Folding Team's Emergency Response to Covid-19
I think the local constabulary on the forum would be unhappy with that, be like begging or crowdfunding or something.

As a reminder you need to set your FAH client to Fold for team LTT, 223518, to be counted in the event. There are people who have entered who are not folding under the team so won't appear in the stats tracking.

mrcharlz reacted to kting15 in Tech Youtubers accused of not disclosing Computex Sponsorships
Okay since I've been on floatplane for awhile I've forgotten how sponsored content is handled on youtube, but I stil maintain that it is clearly marked and easy to distinguish once you get into the video

mrcharlz reacted to TheSLSAMG in Tech Youtubers accused of not disclosing Computex Sponsorships
He accused them of breaking laws (in the US, FTC rules dictate that content creators must disclose sponsored and paid content) and being dishonest with no evidence, and then claimed to have evidence. It's not as simple as someone saying they dislike the named YouTubers, they made false claims that could potentially hurt business. You are right in saying that it is like paying for advertising, but there are laws and guidelines that dictate how advertising is done and this guy is essentially claiming that they didn't do that.
There you go, this is why it's a problem. It's absolutely not nothing.
