    Then I think I'll get a 7900XT, and do a platform upgrade in January, maybe to a Ryzen X3D.

    Thank you for your help!

    True, I had a lot more luck a while back with another chip (can't remember if it was a sempron 145 or an FX-4100) where I snatched a couple of WR's and a few "podium finishes"

    -----------

    Correction, it was a 4300, and actually 4 World Records:
    SuperPi 1M;
    WPrime - 32M;
    Cinebench R11.5;
    Cinebench R15

    I actually didn't take any pictures, I just recorded a short clip, from which I took this screenshot.

    Something really basic and simple, also pretty much the most random collection of fans ?

    I have better pictures from other sessions, but the setup is pretty much always the same

    Your motherboard/memory could have several XAMP profiles.
    You can also post some pictures of the BIOS, we could probably help you faster.

    Played around with some older hardware yesterday but didn't have any luck with the chip, anything over 2200MHz on the RAM it straight up didn't boot, and it didn't like anything over 1.8V.

    Still was able to get in to the top 20 on HWBot, so that's something ?

    I know nothing of photography, but it has a really cool "vintagy-vibe" to it. 9/10

    I bought a Canon EOS M100 and went on a bit of a hike (this is my first time actually using a proper camera) using the kit lens, 15-45mm.

    If you plan on keeping the 9700K at stock frequency then the that board will manage it, otherwise I would look elsewhere.

    I took this one yesterday during the Geneva International Motor Show, with a Canon M100 using the 15-45mm Kit Lens and that's it....could of used an ND filter I think to aid with the reflections but oh well...

    My personal opinion?

    Check the compatibility list of your motherboard, and buy the cheapest kit listed there.

    AMD cpu's don't have very strong IMC's, so  buying B-Die won't benefit you a great deal over cheaper ram, because you probably won't get tight timings with fast speed with a board filled to the brim with RAM.

    Check with either AMD Master Utility or HWInfo.

    Unless you have negative ambiente temps, those cpu temperatures are basically impossible.

    You should also OC through the BIOS. Software has quircks. Watch some tutorials on youtube.

    I just bought a Canon G9X Mark II (my first ever camera, besides smartphones), and I know virtually nothing about photography

    So here goes:
    "The Abandoned Chappel"

    And of course the mandatory shot for a beginner photographer:
    "Plants!"

    I have the Gaming 5 from Gigabyte.

    I ran it until the score didn't improve.

    I ran with everything closed (did not close processes), but didn't set the priority to real-time....completely forgot about that

    I did manage a bit of an improvement, and was able to run 3200MHz CL14 but that didn't seem to make much of difference...

    I upgraded to a 1700 from my 3930K and so far i'm liking the platform, although my particular chip is horrible for OC

    It requires acceptable voltages up to 3.8GHz but from there?
    3.9GHz needs 1.38v to pass Cinebench and 4GHz is only passable with 1.48v

    Because my 4GHz score was with 2133MHz ram.

    I'm still having a few issues with memory.
    For example, if I reset the CMOS for whatever reason and try to dial in 3200MHz, 9 times out of 10 I just get an F9 code boot loop (Gigabyte Gaming 5). I have to take one stick out, dial in my memory settings and then put the second stick back in and it works like a charm

    I'll try to do a 4GHz run

    Here you go

    Btw @Jumper118, I saw a guy on the spreadsheet who managed to get past the 1800 points barrier with the same speed as me but with way worse timings on the RAM.
    Any idea on how I can improve my score?
