It's a very simple question but I can't find confirmation anywhere. I read the GTX 1080 is Display port 1.2 certified by Nvidia, but also 1.3 and 1.4 ready. Technically dp 1.4 should be able to do 2k 240Hz, right? Can anyone confirm? I can't find a clear answer anywhere

I'm in the market for an IPS panel 1440p @240Hz. I saw a really interesting monitor from gigabybe, but I'm in love with Asus and I wanted to see if I could get a similar monitor from them. I saw they announced the ROG Swift PG279QM and the ROG Strix XG27AQM. Do you guys have any idea of when they'll come out? Expected price based on previous models? I really can't find prices for Asus monitors... Any other suggestion?

So I have a 1080p 60Hz monitor connected via hdmi to a gtx1080. I was testing my framerate in apex and I saw that at max quality I get between 100 and 144Hz depending on what I'm doing in game. However if I turn everything off I get 144Hz fixed, so I'm guessing there's some kind of fps cap somewhere, I'm guessing the hdmi cable. Can anyone confirm this theory or there's a deeper reason behind it?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a new keyboard, I am currently using this one, which I know is very cheap but it was the only chiclet gaming keyboard I found two years ago. I hear people saying that mechanical keyboards are the best, but I've never tried one. The only thing I know is that I like so much chiclet laptopish keyboards for typing. I hate "feeling" the space between the keys, and I really need my peripherals to be silent because of my room mate. I usually game and type so that's why I don't go for a complete mechanical or a complete chiclet. I want to know which opinions you guys have on mechanical keyboards and your personal experience with them, and if you have anything to suggest

Hi everybody, I bought the new iPhone Xs, and even if I love its design I think I really need a case. My biggest issue is that when I place it on the table camera facing, it isn't still because of the camera thickness... I'd like a case or a skin that isn't too invasive, but that has the same thickness as the camera, and not more I looked up dbrand skins to add a bit o scratch protection, but I wasn't expecting them to be even too thin Any help? Hi all, I'm looking for a laptop with a lot of characteristics and it is really hard to find, so I'm asking you if you know something similar: - CPU: at least an i5 - Storage: SSD. I don't care how much it can store - Battery: very long battery life (8h+) - Display: 1080 is enough, it just have to be anti-glare IPS (I can give up on the IPS) - GPU: probably not a good idea if I want that battery life - Ultrabook thin - At least a USB A and headphone jack - Fingerprint sensor - Possibly backlit keyboard - Price: under 1000$ would be ideal I know it's a lot of stuff, even because of the price, and I'm not asking you guys to go find one that matches, just write me if you know something similar Thanks in advance
