You could still have them on hand for various uses.

Troubleshooting that requires a different GPU for example, keeping one on display to look cool, maybe an HTPC, and so forth. Maybe you decide to do a budget build in the future for some reason. Boom, a GPU you can use.

SLI is pretty bad tbh especially in gaming since most games have ditched it.

    Welcome!

I would just keep the single 1060 if you're just gaming, SLI is more or less dead.

    1) No
    2) No
    3) They only offer 2 blocks for that card and they're both full cover blocks(not cheap), which also can't be used with the fluid gaming kits are they're not aluminium. https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc1080-gtx-ftw2-nickel and https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc1080-gtx-ftw2-acetal-nickel

So your only real way to watercool that card would be with a full custom loop, or an AIO mounted with an adapter bracket like the NZXT Kraken G10.
Forget that part, Forgot that it's only designed for reference design cards. Full custom loop is your only choice if you want to do it properly.

A lot are really boring. I skip most phone and laptop stuff because of that reason. If I'm in market for each, they probably aren't even close to ones LTT covers. Thank god FP titles I can easily choose what to dl.

because it's already to late by then, generally speaking when LTT uploads a video (outside of SHOW coverage and NDA's) they upload the video as an UNLISTED video for a random amount of time (seen everything from no delay to a day and a half, when they screwed up that one time and posted the next days video's thread and so the video was unlisted for over a day), if you want to have any chance of being the real first comment you HAVE to get in while the video is UNLISTED.

I know it's stupid and pointless but it started as being about the challenge to see how many days in a row I could do it then it devolved into a bit of an obsession, there is something wrong with me, I know this, but it's who I am for better or worse, i've come to terms with it.

There isn't much variety. Just phones with cameras that pop up, gaming phones and product reviews, which are normally sponsored. I like videos with different varity.

Yes.  That was a good one. Too bad it was short. I'd like an in depth one. I know there are many videos. I'd like to see Linus actually completely install it and configure it.

I download them and watch at later time. Usually week worth at times. They are good when eating or doing something else.

I don't think I will need an M.2 because from what i've seen people say the boot speeds for windows is pretty negligible and that's basically what I want my SSD for aside from a few games that would benefit from a faster load speed. NZXT is a bit more expensive even though they're more sexy so I have to take no on that one. I don't need more than 1tb of HDD as my current computer has 1tb of storage and only recently have I used a lot downloading games. I currently have about 144GB left of storage and that is with a shit ton of stuff I probably don't need. As for the fans I plan to get however much HD140's for the case and HD120's for the AIO.

For mid range stuff, Asrock wins on hardware, then proceeds to play dumb in designing their BIOS. That's what makes them equal at the end of the day

Dreaper reacted to Tabs in Can i transfer my pc from my dell optiplex 7010 to another case?
Unfortunately, OEM motherboards from big box suppliers like dell are often non-standard sizes, which means moving them into a new case is not always possible. Even if it fits a physical dimensional standard (like mATX like you said), it may not have mounting holes in the right places.

It's nothing too hard to fix if the case you're buying has removable standoffs and you are handy with a power drill or a Dremel. But if you want a nice easy transition, I would make 100% sure your motherboard has standard mounting holes before doing a transplant.

The front panel headers on the dell board might be incompatible with the standard header layout for your new case, so you'd need to jury rig some way of starting/resetting your machine if the old board doesn't have a silkscreen identifying the pins.

OEM boards may not always use standard pinouts for major connectors like the 24-pin header. You will want to be extremely careful if you change out the power supply that the old supply you're replacing is standards compliant and not some Dell specific part, otherwise the new one might blow up your board.

If you're 100% absolutely set on transplanting your machine to a new case and are already replacing parts, my advice would be to go the extra step of replacing your motherboard (and likely, your heatsink, unless it's the standard Intel stock cooler) with another that is compatible with your current ram and cpu.

These are the potential problems I can think of from the top of my head, but since I haven't investigated your board specifically, I can't say for sure if any/all of these will affect you. They are definitely worth checking though, and are definitely issues people have encountered in the past trying to migrate OEM boards to standard/different chassis.
