Ok I'm in front of my computer now with some free time.

First of all, let me give my thoughts about the photo posted.  I would rate it a 7/10 at best, for reasons I will specify below.  But keep in mind they will be my personal viewpoints as I will compare them to works by other wedding and fashion photographers.  If the couple in the photo are happy with your photo, it should be good enough though I feel you are the kind of tog who likes to improve.  Here are the reasons why I think your photo has room for improvement.
The background is boring, though it does appear out of focus I think if you had gone for a lens with a wider aperture you can blur it out even more.  This will also be affected by the focal length of the lens, but with a long focal length the question becomes do you have enough space to move back away from the couple to fill the same frame?  Something like an 85mm 1.4 or 200-300mm 2.8. would be a lens I'd use. Additionally you could use a speedlight or strobe light, especially with high speed sync.  Further isolating the couple and the vehicle from the background.  You can also fake low key lighting with a strobe and high speed sync in overcast days. Having a flash unit or strobe light can also help you fake the golden hour or sunlight on an overcast day like this.  There are accessories called Gobos that you can purchase for mounting in front of flash units and strobes.  Or you can make your own. Which brings up another point, the shadows around the eyes of the couple.  When taking portraits, the first thing people tend to look at are the eyes of the subject(s).  You can try to fill them with light using a flash or strobe, or a reflector, or bring up the shadows around the eyes in post with an adjustment brush. Now, I'm fairly certain this is not the only photo you took of the couple, and I hope not the only one with the couple and car.  Like all event photographers (weddings being a special type of event), I'm sure you took a series of photos.  Some wide like this where you try to capture as much of the scene as possible and some closeups for a more intimate look.  But you didn't post any of them so I have no idea what your other photos look like.

You have a classic car as a prop.  If you have a wedding couple as subjects with a classic car like this, don't take just exterior shots where they stand and pose in front of the car.  Use the car as a prop or scene setting.  Take photos of them inside (I'm assuming this is their car).  Don't just make them stand as a couple and take photos similar to countless thousands of other similar photos.  Try to create something artistic looking.

Maybe a photo of them sitting together, being intimate in the backseat (I don't mean intimate in the R-rated way), with you taking the photo from the front seat.  Or photos of the couple staring out the back window of the car with you taking the photo from outside.  Maybe the couple in the front seats, you taking a photo of them from the back seat or from out the window.  Reflections of them through the rear view mirrors or side mirrors.

Also, photos of the couple looking at the camera are usually boring.  Make them look at each other in an intimate manner and take a photo that captures their shared feelings.  The photo you took to me looks more like a memento photo.  Capture something that makes them look at the photo and reminds them of their love for each other.

I'll leave you for now with some videos that will give you ideas for the next time.
An old video from one of my favorite wedding/fashion photographers.  You should also check his website.

Here's a video that shows what you can do with Gobos.

Oh and another tip, if you're going to take outdoor photos on cold days, stock some hand warmers and perhaps a canteen of something warm to drink (coffee, cocoa, tea).  Your clients will be grateful.  Photographers don't just carry photography equipment in their kit bags.

Add in the fact that likely the backers will be without any reward for their hard earned money for months.
And then add in the fact that its promoted by sellouts "Tech Blogs" like Gizmodo and Mashable - who should have just said "No, sorry, this is overpriced, useless, and regurgitated tech, we wont post anything about it".

No.  The key is linked to the hardware ID on Microsoft's activation server.  As soon as your new install goes online, it is going to be flagged.

If it is OEM, you'll be prompted to buy a new key.  If you have a retail key, it'll ask you to activate another way, which will move the key over to the new hardware and causing the old PC to have the same warning triggered.

    Hi All,

I see this was asked a few months ago, but wanted to bring up again. With CES2017 come and gone, the popularity and number of Smart Home/Connected devices are growing more and more every year.

Alexa/Echo, Google Home, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, Phillips Hue Bulbs, Cameras and Security systems. Even the new Shield TV will be able to turn into a Smart Home Hub through partnership with Samsung's SmartThings. Smart home (and related) Technologies are growing at a fast rate, are no longer cost-prohibitive for nearly as many, and are more and more common as a standard feature in newer homes. It's also no longer a "geek only" item, with things like the Echo and Phillips Hue being HUGE sellers this holiday season as stocking stuffers and gifts.

I feel it is close to time to include a section for these Smart/Connected devices. I would envision something encompassing:
Smart Devices (Bulbs, Switches, Outlets, Locks, Water Meters, thermostats, Appliances),
Smart Hubs (SmartThings, Wink, Vera, Homebrew),
Smart Home Security (Cameras, Sensors, etc),
    Home Automation
Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit
    IoT Devices

Whether it is actually time for this or not, is up to the Mods - but here's my vote to have it added sooner than later.

There is almost no way to completely block out in-game sounds and others voices if you are using speakers of any kind at a normal volume.

Question: Why do you wish to use speakers while playing games and using VOIP?

Modmic 4 or 5 + quality headphones will provide high quality on both sides.

Hey hey! Love seeing our little ModMic pop up here.

I basically agree with what everyone said above, except that Boompro thing! I'm kidding, audio is like wine, everyone has a different taste of what is good. Boompro has its advantages and I won't deny it.

Anyway, it comes down to cable and switching.

The detachable cable is going to be super handy if you use both PC and console, especially console (shorter cord). It should also increase the life of your product, as the #1 fail point of audio gear (in my experience, not as some statistical survey I have done) is usually related to the wiring in the cable. Since you can replace the cable that should increase the longevity of the unit.

The quality of the 4 and 5 are the same, since they use the same actual mic. The key is switching between omni and uni. If you game entirely in a quieter environment where quality is king, make sure you get the Omni version of the 4. It is discontinued, but we still have some for sale on Amazon. Otherwise, if its noisy where you are or you go to a lot of LANs etc, just get the Uni version (Now just called the ModMic 4).

If you need both uni and omni and/or having that modular cable is of value, you may get more mileage out of the more expensive ModMic 5.

I am happy to help if you have more questions!

you need to read up on what the settings do

    To make a picture brighter:
    Higher ISO
    Wider Aperture
    Longer shutter speed

You have neither of these things set on the camera

If you have it on a tripod and want to take as till you can try setting your shutter speed

You can monitor your exposure on the scale at the bottom

It runs beautifully. I don't need anything more. My website runs great. I am upgrading it soon with an overpowered Pentium 4 PC. I know that I don't need a Pentium 4 for it. I am mainly upgrading because it doesn't have SATA, and it isn't economical to buy manufacturer refurbished IDE drives as backups.

d3sl91 got a reaction from tatte in So I just got a PS4...
From what I have seen, after 3 months of owning a console - XB1 has many more sales Vs Playstation. Or, when somewhere (Newegg, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop) sells a game for discount, the xbox version is sometimes cheaper than the PS version.

On consoles, you have fewer cheap indy games, or, games that are very very old and on sale. Howeverm again, XB1 is better at the older games, as it is backwards compatible with a growing list of games.

But as someone with a steam library hundreds of games long - I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap I could get games for my XB1:

    Battlefront: $5 (after using a $5 coupon)
    Need for Speed: $12
    Rayman Legends: $6.60
    Rocket League: $12
    Gears of War 4: $30
GOW 1-3 + Judgement Day: $10, or free with GOW4
    Assassin's Creed Unity: $2.00
    Assassin's Creed Black Flag: $10
    Metro Redux: $6
    Terraria: $4
    Telltale Undead Survival Bundle: $20
    MGS:V : $12
    Battleborn: $10
Fallout 4: Free with the purchase of controller
Fallout 3: Free with Fallout 4
    Halo Master Chief Collection: $9
    The Division: $15
    Battlefield 1: Free with console.
    Deathtrap: Free
    Thief: Free
    Sleeping Dogs: Free
    Outlast: Free
    Mirror's Edge: Free
    Forza Horizon: Free

Vizio Sound bars (any of them) are amazing. Every single one I have tested or tried, are very impressive. I just bought the 29" version for my parents, and am extremely impressed. It gets loud, more than 50% is uncomfortably loud. The bass is very good, even without a subwoofer. It sounds amazing - none of this crap "sounds like a speaker in a plastic tube" sound. More like the "if I did not already have a 5.1 system at home, I would buy this", sound.

In speaking with a BestBuy guy a few weeks ago when I got the 29" he actually was trying to convince me to get the $50 cheaper vizio, instead of a samsung unit I was looking at. If anything is a reason to buy, having a sales person tell you to spend $50 less than what you were planning on is a good reason.

Whichever one you get, get one that has an output for a subwoofer. You can get cheap used subwoofers at second-hand stores (goodwill, etc) and use them to improve the bass if it doesn't include a subwoofer.

Here are some Vizio Units that are in the sub $200 price.
$79 - 29" + Subwoofer Output: SB2920-C6 (same speakers as the 38", just, shorter physical size).
    $99 - 38" + Subwoofer Output: SB3820-C6 (Same speakers as the 29")
$140 - 38" + Wireless Subwoofer: SB3821-C6 (Same speakers again, just, includes a wireless Subwoofer)
$199 - 38" + 3.0 channels, Subwoofer Output, HDMI, and Google Cast Built-in: SB3830-D0 (This is for people like me, who cannot stand anything without a dedicated center channel).

With most desktop mics, you will want to have it close to you so you do not have to turn up sensitivity/mic volume, reducing the background noise. What also reduces background noise is using PTT instead of Voice-Activated. But regardless, you will likely want to get a boom arm.

The other item is isolation. You may find that tons of desk noise is transmitted into the mic due to minimal isolation. this is another reason to get a boom arm - but you may also end up needing a shockmount.

This is where a GOOD headset mic (like a modmic) is nice for everyday needs, without needing a boom arm to get the mic close to you.

In any case, AT-2020 is great - It's what I've been using for a year or so. But I really do wish I had not spent the money, and instead purchased a ModMic.
