  1. That looks like windows 10. Windows 10 is not released yet, so, it could literally be anything at this point. 500 is not terribly much, though, and a system will scale its idle usage based on how much ram you have. So a 2GB system will use a couple hundred MB, 4GB more, 6, 12, etc. My 16GB system uses about 1-2GB idle. But my 2GB system uses less than 500mb
  2. You mean powerline adaptors? Those are not surge protectors, just to warn you. You will get decent connection - often better than wireless, but depending on the wiring it could be really good or not so good. Best bet is to try it, and return if it doesnt work as expected.
  3. Sounds like you have a faulty modem or router. If the company provided it, I would contact them and ask for a replacement.
  4. Could be a faulty wireless card, not uncommon. Get her one of these (easy fix): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833315091 Or one of these (More in-depth because this model requires full dissasembly just to replace a wireless card... thanks Dell, instructions: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833106244
  5. If you want something paid, Camtasia is pretty much the go-to software out there.
  6. So, seeing this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OC0USA6?ref_=gbsl_tit_l-1_4822_9436fa74&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER Got me thinking. For me, an avid prime user, It would be a $60 4G LTE phone I'd use when hiking or when I dont want to bring my $600 phone with me somewhere. (it's 160 up front, but that gets me 1 year of prime - $99 that i'd be spending in a few months anyway). Is there anything else on the market with similar specs (new or used) for Sub $100 that would be much better? A sub-5" phone would be ideal - android, winmo, etc, don't care. I'm on t-mobile.
  7. If you are a prime user: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OC0USA6?ref_=gbsl_tit_l-1_4822_9436fa74&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER At the worst, it's a $60 backup phone you can use on wifi. At best, it's a $60 phone that you can use....like a phone.
  8. "What if I'm already a Prime member? You're still eligible. Prime members who purchase a Fire will receive an additional year of Prime when their existing membership is up for renewal. For example: if your next renewal date is June 1st 2015 and you purchase a Fire, we will give you an additional year of Prime at no charge, making your next paid renewal date June 1st 2016." So, if you plan on renewing at any time, and have $60....just buy it.

    Logitech V2

HAHA. I laughed. This made my day. Thanks Logitech. I really don't care, but, "younger crowd" - you mean like.... gamers who already love your products? Must be talking about wannabe hipsters who buy all the minimalist stuff from apple because.... its apple. Well.... they are still going to buy apple, not logitech. And we faithful PC gamers will continue to use them.
  10. 2 of these: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=DP+DVI Or a HDMI > DVI.
  11. No shaping enabled? Connecting VIA gigabit ethernet?
  12. Well, from my perspective as a Christian - being apart from God's presence (Glory), and therefore apart from his Grace, benevolence, mercy and Love is pretty scary to me. Thankfully all people - both Christians and Non, already reap the benefit of God's grace and benevolence through happiness, good feelings, life, among other things that make us happy (A good framerate ). I cannot imagine what it would be like to have none of those sources of happiness and joy. It also mentions weeping. That weeping is likely coming from someone who is being tormented in some way or another. Wether that is physical or mental/spiritual torment is up to speculation. As just mentioned, the spiritual torment of being apart from God, is a terrible thing - without any physical torment needed. The new testament, as you have heard, mentions lots about eternal torment, lakes of fire, etc. The old-timey "Fire and Brimstone" sermons "You are going to burn to a crisp if you accept dont Accept Christ and say these words" are not necessarily biblical (for a few reasons). The bible is not flat out "Let me make you an excel spreadsheet itinerary listing exactly what to expect on your trip to hell". But that is fear-inducing on it's own. Just because it may not "actually" be eternal fire and brimstone... doesn't mean it could not be something much, much worse. As easily as these symbols the Bible uses to describe hell - could not be exactly what happens in Hell, just as easily they could be much worse. That lake of fire could sound quite refreshing after while enduring the Wrath of a Holy God. Are you looking for a specific answer? Sorry I cannot be more specific in my description of what Hell is, as I cannot claim to know what hell is like (haven't been there - although humid 103F sure feels like it . Bottom line though no matter how you slice it, Hell can be described as where you "don't want to be".
  13. Firstly, I often use "hell" as a placeholder for the judgement unbelievers will face. I personally do believe hell is a "place" but wether that is true or if "Hell" (or the root words) are the actual name of it - is often the subject of theological debate. And is really not that important in the grand scheme of things. But, it is nice to discuss with fellow believers to better learn and understand regardless of how important it is. In general my definition is what I can find in the bible, here are a few descriptions I found: A place of weeping and gnashing of teeth (Gnashing, as in, doing so out of hatred towards God for punishing them). (Matt 25:30, 22:13 Eternal. (Matt 25:41, 46 / 2Thess 1:9) Apart from God's glory. (2 Thess 1:9) Darkness. - This ties into the lacking of God's Glory. The God's Glory is referred to the source of light in heaven (Rev 21:23), so the lack of that would imply there is probably lots of darkness comparatively. (Matt 8:12, 22:13)
  14. The only reason I reply to these threads is that the LTT community generally does not "Go Full Retard" when touchy subjects come up. bravo! I'm a bible believing Christian that first and foremost follows the bible, no matter what type of church I am attending. I am accepting of everyone, but do not misinterperatr that as a blind acceptance of all lifestyles and sin - both by nonbelievers and Christians. Christians that condemn others disgust me. Christians that are hateful towards gay marriage, using divorce-ridden "normal marriage" as a comparison - disgusts me. I generally have more debates with Christians than non. Forcing beliefs and opinions on others is not biblical, and disgusts me. I do however have concern for everyone's soul. The Bible is pretty clear when it comes to failure to believe in Christ, and the hell that awaits those that do not. Rather than listen to the loudest voices on TV or social media, or my likely wrong and hypocritical words, I'd encourage anyone with questions to first read the words of God himself in the Bible. Don't need a pastor or religious leader to follow Christ. And yep, that's it
  15. This is more advice that. A story. As a 24 year old who's engaged and has many friends getting married. Friendships do not last forever. People are friends due to circumstances, where you are, because you "have to". As you get older, you will move and get much busier. Hanging out happens once a month, not every other day. You make new friends, get married, have kids. But learn to have friends in your family. It's just life. It's not horrible, but its what happens. Hopefully you will find a lifelong companion to marry, maybe end up with some kids.
  16. If you have the money, get it. If you have better things to pay - I'm more excited for 150Mbps internet being cheap when 1Gb comes out. Dont care about 1Gbps all that much.
  17. Yep, you contacted the seller and they are unable to provide a proper solution, so submit to amazon.
  18. I'm tired of my RAT7. Yep, just tired of it.
  19. Cool part about this, is you can just HANG UP as soon as it says "verified", Then, just restart the validation process and it will work - without waiting/typing a million numbers.
  20. I just switched to T-Mobile, because I was sick of the bad BYOD support on verizon, not to mention verizon's prices an zero coverage in my house. Now with t-mo I can BYOD, switch to ATT, Use it worldwide (I may be spending awhile overseas in a couple years), oh - and actually make phonecalls in my house.
  21. T-Mo also has some "goodies" for Military: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4791
  22. Yep! I have the NT66U sitting here as my main router. I have had it since it was released, and just now updated to Tomato Firmware for some amazing features. Probably has a couple more years on it (or until I get more AC wireless devices). I have to say... I just got an AC-68U for FREE from t-mobile as long as I have t-mo. Or, $99 to purchase if I decide I want to try and flash it with something. I haven't used it much yet, but I can say that the range is slightly better than that of the older unit. As I said, the "old" NT66U still keeps up with 4 users, streaming, teamspeak servers, media servers, bla bla bla.
  23. +1 for T-Mobile. My blood runs Pink, my friends. I have drank the Pink Kool-Aide.....and I love it.
  24. +1 Both are amazing.
