  1. My requirements are to be able to have back up redundancy, ability to recover / rebuild and be able to back up a system on the network ie: clone its OS drive . I will be using FreeNAS with 4x4 tb and if i am able to do so add in a few 3tb drives . The Network drive will require 2 tb of space for its back up . If possible can i use a separate drive for just that and have the others in RAID ? So what i would need to know is, what type of RAID should i be using ? i just need to be pointed in the right direction . Thanks in advance .
  2. So for fun i tinker with obscure pcs / builds etc etc and i really want to purchase one of these "new" X79 boards from China ... Heres the one i am debating on buying .Now my question is , does anyone know the manufacture of these ? Any idea of the Bios features or lack there of ? maybe another board like this that is Dual socket i should check out instead of this one (around the same price point , in other words Cheap) as i just want to tinker and not spend a fortune for something i may not even keep and just for learning and fun if you will . Ram and cpus are cheap and easy to get , its the boards im curious about . Any help , documentation , website etc etc would be greatly appreciated . 3. That seems to be somethngi with the AMD drivers (older drivers but not super old) and was supposed to have been sorted , i think linus touched on that recently (or another tech tuber i forget off hand) but thats what happens and you need to reboot to fix it .
  4. I would buy your CPU and pay shipping ...im in Ontario... BUT as the last guy said , put it together into a cheap case and toss it up 800-900 (thats what i would do and have done many times) That imo is your best avenue to take even if i want to buy that chip big time , im honest to a fault . But if willing to part , ill buy your cpu as i need one of those .cheers
  5. I kept asking him to Show proof or show SOMETHING because the whole chat was turning into a lynch mob without evidence or anything showing what he says is true and hes blaming Linus for it
  6. Just caught this on the YT Carey Holzmen going on about you guys trying to take down his chan stream titled LinusTechTips Trying To Shut Down My YouTube Channel Says you guys are copyright claiming Heaven Benchmark !?! anyone know wtf this crap is about ?
  7. Thank you for the conformation on my choice , although i am still looking for alternative gpus , the Titanium one seems to be the right choice and decent price for me right now . cheers
  8. well what i hear now after some more research is the titanium had one more heat pipe? can anyone confirm this ?
  9. Ok so iu am debating which of these 2 to buy ....MSI gtx 1070 ti gaming 8gb OR the MSI 1070 ti titanium 8gb . both have same specs and what looks to be the same cooling solution but its hard to tell from the pictures . The reason im asking is, they are both on sale for decent prices right now and hearing rumors of tariffs hitting with a 25% increase in price for electronics so i would like to purchase before that happens (if it does) and i really dont care too much about the new cards that may or may not be released shortly . if anyone has some alternatives to these by all means let me know im always up for alternatives , of course if the price is right . thanks in advance .cheers
  10. I would keep the card , if you feel you didn't over pay for the card and its working just fine then why bother for a rumored release ? . a 1070 will suffice for a few years to come so i wouldn't jump the gun , wait to see what happens and let things mature ie: drivers etc etc .
  11. Those are Outputs not Inputs on your laptop so no you can't do that . What i used to do was go buy something from a store to use and some stores you get a no questions asked return policy for certain periods of time ... its like a free rental . just depends on the store policy , some are up to 30 days return with all packaging etc etc .
  12. If it has a pcie-x slot then it should work .
  13. well the price difference between the one i purchased and the nzxt is 100$ and more compared to the one i just bought . I guess its the ol' DYI for me . it isnt something i need and was curious what options are there . I got this aio for a really good price and thought maybe i could re purpose it .all good....thx for confirming my own search results ..was hoping possibly someone may have an idea. but who knows i may grab a g12 bracket and mod it much easier then a whole bracket build
  14. Ok ,, i have been scouring the net looking for a bracket to use an AIO and mount it to my GPU .The Only ones i am finding are the NZXT's, both the older and the newer g2 or whatnot and according to their support list it doesn't support the AIO i just bought , which is a Master Liquid Lite RGB ML240L . Does anyone know of any other brands of gpu / aio brackets on the market ? or can make them ? I have watched a few DYI's for ideas etc , but i would much rather just buy one that has the fan incld to be mounted with the aio pump etc . If anyone HAS the NZXT one and have used a coolermaster AIO (or similar)with it and can verify that it actually IS compatible or can be fitted with some dyi that would be great too . Thanks in advance ...cheers
