Okay, so my friend is upgrading to another graphics card and he told me he could give me his two Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 970 4GBs (plus installation and that stuff) for $400 USD. He's only used it for about a year, so they're not in too bad condition. My only question is will this be able to run most games at 1440p 60hz? I currently only have a GTX 950 and need to upgrade, as I struggle to run games like Player Unknown's Battlegrounds at the lowest settings (1080p). I am going to upgrade to 1440p and if this doesn't meet my needs (pretty sure they're needs.... right?) then what should I go for? I'm not looking for anything over $500 and that's pushing it ( I have my eye on some used 980 ti's on eBay).
By the way, my Processor is an AMD FX 8370 at base clock speeds.
