  1. @CPotter The ticket was purchased by someone else in my family for me, and I’m sure other people have the same situation. How would we go about changing the FP subscription over?
  2. Will Linus sign my laptop if I find him? lol. But really. Is there a limit on what can be signed?
  3. Will be coming from Dallas-ForthWorth, with my uncle. Not too expensive. My first LTX!
  4. Ok so I’m probably annoying all of you but I want to make an informed decision: The original surface pro (surface pro 2? 1? 69? Idk anymore check the link) [OG] vs the regular surface 3 [3] . My use-case is fairly light with a few heavy tasks like photoshop and maybe an occasional game. I really like the i5 on the OG but the 3 is newer, although it has an atom chip. The OG has 128gb ssd and the 3 has 64gb ssd (128gb is a bit pricey). I was hoping to use the pen so that would be an extra cost with the 3 also, but I will try to get it if the 3 is way better than the OG. Thanks for all your help guys.
  5. Im guessing that it would be the surface pro 2 then? I’m confused. I’ll just post an amazon link. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MGXZ4TQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_X0dvAbT9135X5
  6. I mean the surface pro. Not that weird ARM disaster.
  7. EDIT: I decided to get a surface. But which one? The original surface pro (surface pro 2? 1? I’m looking for a good quality $400-500 laptop. I really like the original surface pro or an older MacBook Pro, but I am willing to look at newer laptops in that range too. Why the random laptops?: I just always thought the surface was a cool concept and I like macOS
  8. Thanks for all the replies. I cannot do used, as stated above, but which of the two new systems from above would best support my use case: Premier elements (light editing), Photoshop elements 9, a possible CC upgrade for PR and PS, light gaming (TF2, Portal 2, some Minecraft when I feel bored), and Autodesk Maya (I will be taking a 3D modeling course soon). I do want to start getting into moderate games, but once I get good at those I will likely be able to get a better GPU.
  9. I would, but my parents say that If I want a *new* computer, it has to be from a reliable source, which in their eyes, is new components.

  11. I hated it. Either full Mechanical or no Mechanical That in-between zone ("Memchanical") is terrible IMO
  12. My school bought iMacs ;-; At least we get Final Cut Pro
  13. I own a Devestator II. DO NOT BUY IT! The mouse is OK, but the keyboard is TERRIBLE! The backlight is on the scroll lock key, and it is super mushy! Went back to my Apple Bluetooth after a few days. It was terrible. I think you should find a nice keyboard and mouse from Linus' cheap peripherals series.
  14. Lol The ram I suggested is $2 less even. I would go with that to be safe
