H1 susceptible to catch fire - contact NZXT
truecrafting replied to LukeSavenije's topic in Tech News
"One Redditor claimed that the problem could be attributed to a tiny screw that specifically secures the PCIe graphics card riser mount. The screw is reportedly shorting out the system and causing it to not work properly. The same Redditor shared his experience that his system would automatically reset if there is any pressure on the portion of the case where the graphics card is housed. " -

What do you guys look for when picking parts?
truecrafting replied to StrawberryShortCakes's topic in General Discussion
Case : mesh front and tempered glass CPU : Depends on workload Pure gaming Intel multitasking and streaming AMD Motherboard : Mix of good IO price and VRM's RAM : price and depends if im going intel or amd (i usually got 3600 mhz cl16 for amd) GPU : as of know i cant say cause im still waiting on nvidia to iron out the problems and amd to launch big navi PSU : depends on the budget but all psus i use are on the tier list and even the cultists approve off Fans : arctic p12's cause cheap and good Cpu cooler: i usually recommend stock for cheaper builds but i usually recommend thicc air coolers and not aios -
Best budget motherboard for Ryzen 7 3700x
truecrafting replied to Mwraines's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
BR and reliable dont go on in the same sentence especially with the parts he has my friend has a BR and its already coil whinning and just because EVGA is popular doesnt mean theyre reliable when looking at psus brand doesnt matter that much- 15 replies

Best budget motherboard for Ryzen 7 3700x
truecrafting replied to Mwraines's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
id swap out that psu its as stated a bomb and i would get other ram perhaps TEAM Vulcan, G.Skill Ripjaws V or Crucial Ballistix i say change ram because binning on them have been really inconsistent for the motherboard for the lower end id say a GIGABYTE B550 DS3H mid:MSI B550 Tomohawk/Aorus Elite- 15 replies

nvidia tends to over estimate it and to add it's not gonna always draw 300+w constantly
-
then again this is RECOMMENDED hypothetically u can power it with 650w but just wait for 3rd party reviews
-
from what we know now i know well that it wont bottleneck BUT we have to wait for 3rd party reviews about the the GPU for PSU id recommend an Enermax REVOLUTION DF if u can find it or anything tier a on the psu tier list

£1800 GBP gaming PC build - advice requested
truecrafting replied to Vectorspace's topic in New Builds and Planning
change the ff -Motherboard (overkill for the cpu) -LPX is pretty bad (it cant reach the advertised speeds) -Samsung SSD'S are pretty overpriced -PSU is pretty overpriced look at the SUPERFLOWER LEADEX III -
alright up to u on that aio part HAPPY BUILDING GOOD PERSON
-
yes but also an idiotic thing to do XD u can configure all the fans to blow and do it stupid cause what if theres an earthquake rip ur pc also moisture
-
hewwo i would avoid getting the H510e just because of the thermals on it, it is good looking but the airflow is very sub par i would advice to get a Phanteks p300a/p400a NR600 Fractal Design meshify c or the BeQuiet! 500dx also there is a better deal on a power supply on ca PCPP its a revolution DF 650w its a good unit for the price and lastly i would get another aio that performs a bit better than the X63 ie the (Arctic Liquid Freezer II or the EVGA CLC)

How much power do I really need ?
truecrafting replied to NivZman's topic in New Builds and Planning
The thing I do is i just recommend 550w PSU's since its more than enough for mid-end systems and when i make descions i look at this https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1169026-how-many-watts-do-i-need-20/ -
id say the 2070super it performs very great its a good value for the money card
