    A small update:

All sata cables have been replaced with Bitfenix sleeved sata cables.

    Added another 2TB HDD.
Changed from RAID 0 to RAID 5

    Switched from 1 PCI-E (2x 6+2 on 1 cable) to two 6+2 PCI-E cables.

Slightly reworked cable management, to make the build look neater.

Next items on the hit list:

Relocate h100 to better location, so it is more aesthetically pleasing.
Get bigger and better desk so I can present the whole build better.

Thanks mate, yeah the cabling for this was a nightmare. I did it at least three times from what I remember before I got it to all fit nicely behind there, was a few hours of work. Thanks for viewing!

Some areas are better than others, bit I think that overall it's not too bad.

Funny you should mention that, I had issues with sensors when I first got it, it seems to have been fixed with the newer software.
Overall this is a nice build, you have done well considering the sheer amount of cables back there, can't say that I'd do the second loop, but each to their own.

Greetings ladies and gentlemen, I've had this computer for a year as of February 2013, when I got her, the original budget was around $1200 AU, I wasn't confident enough building, or picking the parts out myself, so I had a friend do it.
Here she was when she was first put together:

Of course, I like to tinker with things, so I mess around, and the guts looked a little like this:

At the time of the photo, the specs were:
Alas, in the pursuit of perfection, I have replaced most of the parts, and she stands proud today.

Disregard the red sata cable, it's no longer there.

    Current specs:
NZXT Phantom 820 in matte black
    i7 3770k @ 4.2GHz (1.1V @ mid 50's Celsius)
    Asus Sabertooth Z77
    Corsair H100
    MSI GTX660TI Power Edition
Corsair Vengeance 12GB (Gave a stick to a friend)
    Corsair AX860i
    Intel 330 series 120GB SSD
    3 x 2TB Western Digital Greens in Raid 5
oh, and Corsair's green sleeved psu cables
I don't quite know what's next, as I'm quite happy with it right now. For what I use it for, it's fine.

You know your stuff, I'll give you that.
Over here, R33s have been dubbed the "new commodore" by a few people, meaning they are readily available and parts are cheap. I'm looking at buying either an R34 GT-T or a Ford BF XR6 Turbo for my next car, both nice looking, reliable cars with plentiful aftermarket parts.

Open it up and clean it as good as you can. The heating and dying problems might be a result of dust clogging up inside (laptops have a safety which kills power if it overheats). A new battery will probably fix the battery life issues. As for the startup freezing, try running a full scan and defragmentation on the hard drive, it might have some bad stuff on it.

Avast would be a good bet. Can set real-time alerts to show when something malicious is on the web page you're viewing / attempting to open. It's free as well which is an added bonus :)

It makes no sense to use raid 0 for storage, it has duble the probability of failing and if you lose 1 drive you lose everything. You are much better of if you use No raid or raid 5, but in this case you need 3 drives.
    PD: Your system is awesome

Now take this with a grain of salt, but that's pretty much like buying an Alienware desktop. It's done, nothing to do with it. Change the wheels maybe, give the engine an overhaul but that's about it. Say get an R34 instead (which also happens to be way cooler, sorry R35 fans :D ) you have much more to tweak and tinker with. :)

Edit @FireFox - The R32's pretty much destroyed everything in their time as well, great cars! :)

Yes, that is normal. Similar to hard drives, you never actually get the "advertised" amount of gbs.
