  1. Hey everyone, I have tried for a long time to access my home network through the build in vpn on my router but I cannot seem to get it to work. Every ip explanation I found on the internet was pretty good but none of them could explain to me what was going on with my network. What I have found out so far: - Using 'tracert 8.8.8.8' in cmd from my home network gives the result shown in the tracert8888.PNG screencapture. - When I use nmap from my home network on the first jump IP I get the result shown in nmap46[1]FromHome.PNG. - When I use nmap from my mobile network (Using my phone as a hotspot) I get the result shown in nmap46[1]FromMobile.PNG. - When I google "WhatsMyIp" I get a slightly different ip adress from my first tracert jump, only the last digits are different. I will name this ip adress in my screenshots with a small [2]. - Using nmap from home gives nmap46[2]FromHome.PNG. - Using nmap from my mobile network gives nmap46[2]FromMobile.PNG. - On the RouterTroubleshootingDiagnostic.PNG picure the IPv4 adress is 172.xx.xxx.xx, IPv6 is blank (This is just an image I got from google images because I could not get the Linksys SmartWifi pages in English, but it is the same). - When I use nmap on this ip address from my home network it says there are 8 ports open and 992 closed, the result is shown in the nmap172FromHome.PNG screencapture. - When I use nmap from my mobile network I get the result shown in nmap172FromMobile.PNG. When I download my OpenVPN profile, standard over port 1194, and try to reach my home network from my mobile network it get stuck on 'MANAGEMENT: >STATE:1544656134,WAIT,,,,,,' and then gives an error of 'TLS Error: TLS handshake failed'. When I connect to my home network with OpenVPN while on my home network it does work. (This might seem trivial, but just yesterday I could not connect to my home network via a VPN while I was already on my home network) My goal is to be able to use the drive I have connected to my router when I am away from my home network. As you might have guessed; the FTP server, also standard over port 1994, does not work from my mobile network either. It does work form my home network. I have followed the few instructions on the linksys website but they don't get me very far. The router was reset yesterday so all settings are standard. Can someone explain to me what is going on with my network and how I might be able to fix it? Thank you.
  2. Hello, I am interested in the External GPU docking station from Beast and wonder if I can fit it onto my laptop. My laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad W541 with a Quadro K1100m and an i7-4710MQ. The beast external GPU connects to a laptop through a mini pci-e port but I noticed my laptop has a spare NGFF slot. Online I have found a NGFF to mini PCI-e adapter and I wonder if I can just use that and connect the Beast to my laptop through the NGFF slot? On a sidenote, this laptop has the option of connecting to a docking station. Those docking stations have an ethernet connection, would it be possible to connect the external gpu to something inside the docking station? Because that would be extremely usefull. 3. I have called the shop and they agreed to take it back and update the bios free of charge, claiming that that should make it work. When I get it back I'll update the topic. Thanks for all your help!
  4. The cpu is among the supported cpu's list on Asrock's website. Is it always on there despite the bios update?
  5. I am trying with d-sub. I have just reinstalled my cpu and am now trying with only one ram stick in the slot, I have installed both of them now. The cables I have connected to the motherboard are a 20-pin connector and the separate 4-pin connector. I have also connected a 4-pin connector to the cpu power. The connector has 'P2' labeled on it.
  6. Hello, I am building a new pc but it doesn't give me a screen output. The build consists off: Memory: Adata 8GB DDR4-2400 CPU: Intel core i5-7500, 3.4 Ghz Motherboard: Asrock B150M-HDV My psu has a total power output of 250W The fans are spinning but I can't get anything on a screen. I have bought a motherboard speaker but I can't get any beep sound (Small chance I have installed the speaker wrong but I deem the unlikely since I think it is just a matter of connecting it to the 'speaker' pins.) I noticed the memory speed it faster than is supported by the motherboard but I read online that that won't cause this sort of problem but I am unsure about whether this is true. Thanks!
  7. I have made some changes to the post. It was a test. I have installes my own genuine copy of windows again because apparently the windows installation that was on the flash drive was broken or something. I then put back my original installation on the usb drive and it would just install correctly.
  8. Hey, Ik have installed a version of windows 7 ultimate. I then turned off my laptop and when my laptop was turning on again it asked me which device I wanted to boot from so I selected the 'ATA HDD0: INTEL SSDSC2BF240A5L', I can also select 'PCI LAN' which has two suboptions, an IPv4 and an IPv6. When I select the 'ATA HDD0' the screen just goes black and than it shows me the same screen again. When I plug in the USB from which I installed windows and select it I have the same problem of going into some sort of loop. When I select the IPv4 or IPv6 option the screen show's in the top left corner '>>Start PXE over IPv4.' and '>>Start PXE over IPv6.' respectively, after a while it goes back to the previous screen. In order to instal windows I have changed the SSD from a GPT to an MBR partition and after that the windows 7 version installed and ran fine. I have already tried to reset the default BIOS settings. My UEFI BIOS version is 'GNET81WW (2.29)' My laptop is a LENOVO Thinkpad W541 During the LENOVO diagnostics extended test, during the 'Drive self-test' it gives the warning:'not applicable', every other test is passed. Thank you!
