GirvanaWantsBinnieBalls reacted to GamerDude in Resetting my AMD GPU without AMD Software *Help Fast*
Same weird crap happened to my main rig, when I right click on desktop, I don't see AMD Adrenalin software available on the tab. When I click on 'Start', I do see an AMD Radeon option but when I click on it, I get the same message as in the 1st post. Had me scratching my head, though games and all ran just fine which led me to conclude it was some sort of bug as the driver must still be there for games to run. I must point out that unlike OP, I did not have the issue he'd had, that is, monitor turning off.
But after years of using AMD GPU's, I kinda figured a driver reinstall would resolve the issue (I needed Adrenalin Control Panel to adjust fan speed and core/mem clocks), so I did just that. Now, I have Adrenalin CP when I right-click on desktop. Software can act weird sometimes...

Thanks very much for reporting back.
Please (if applicable) mark the correct answer as such.
So then when someone else searches for the same issue, they can go to the solution directly. 😉
(Yes even if its your own post 😄)

open device manager and go to this:
Right click your GPU and select update driver, and search automatically.

Use DDU to remove the old drivers and reinstall.

GirvanaWantsBinnieBalls reacted to Mateyyy in DDU how to use safe mode without problems
Here's how I do it:
download the driver you plan on installing (in your case, download the latest from AMD's website) disconnect the network cable (or turn off WIFI if that's your thing) boot into safe mode, run DDU and then restart install the driver you downloaded plug the network cable back in success I've never had any sort of problems while doing this, like repair loops and such.

What picture?

Why don't they go in?
Are there standoffs there? Are they stripped?
Or is the screw not reaching the standoff?
In that case your motherboard may not be laying flat properly.

GirvanaWantsBinnieBalls reacted to Tan3l6 in Not all Motherboard screws go in . Help!
Also if the cooler isn't weighing a ton, as one upper screw is also bad, it seems.
But yeah, replaciong standoffs is a good idea.

Edit: double post.

GirvanaWantsBinnieBalls reacted to Enderman in Not all Motherboard screws go in . Help!
Yeah, and make sure that the center standoff is in properly because that one is usually a stub and not a screw hole.
If that one's not in then you won't be able to screw in other holes without bending the motherboard and breaking it.

Case : NZXT 340s Elite
I got a new mobo the other days and when i tried to install it , the screws in the picture below ( not my mobo but same screws layout ) just wont screw in , they just fall and i just cant get them tight or anything but the rest screws do go in
Also my mobos manual is pretty crappy . Can i just leave it as is since the mobo doesnt seem to move when i push it around , am i doing sth wrong ?

As long as you explain the issues that the card is having, you won't be ripping anyone off. There are plenty of people that buy dead or dieing cards to try to resurrect them.

GirvanaWantsBinnieBalls reacted to Samfisher in How to keep files after installing new MOBO
No. All your Windows files will be in the Windows.old folder, and you'll only have the fresh Windows installation.

GirvanaWantsBinnieBalls reacted to Morgan MLGman in How to keep files after installing new MOBO
Move the necessary files to the HDD, and don't format it when reinstalling. Format just the boot drive, you won't lose any data contained on the HDD this way.

No. There's only 1 Windows now after your reinstall.
This is also likely. Try it out before reinstalling for no reason.

GirvanaWantsBinnieBalls reacted to cinebeunice in How can i convert WMV to MP4 ?
Simple. Get a copy of VLC Media Player, and follow this tutorial, and you will be able to convert all the things! If you have a copy of Adobe CC, then I'd use Media Encoder ideally, but if you're looking for a quick easy universal solution, VLC's got you covered.
