Update 10-August-2019. The PSU has arrived ? I have ordered: RAM GPU CPU Cooler and a few fan (1x40mm 1x 60mm) I'll order more fans when I can see what I need. I ordered MSI 2060 Aero, hopefully I can fit it in ?

I have decided not to go with the pico or a TFX. I found that a FLEX ATX should work well, (I hope ?) I have ordered a Silverstone SST-FX350-G from Germany (to save ~$20) Ebay says "Estimated delivery Friday, Aug 9, 2019 - Friday, Aug 23, 2019" I won't be able to do much until the PSU arrives. 81.5 mm (W) x 40.5mm (H) x 150 mm (D) 3.21" (W) x 1.59" (H) x 5.91" (D) 350W The fan is said to be loud, so I like may others will probably replace it with a Noctua one. I'm still undecided on the GPU

Thanks @dgsddfgdfhgs I found them. The screws are on the other side of the "AMD" printing on the upper/outer shroud, you need to get at them from underneath, take the cooler off. I also took off what looked like risers between the fan and the heartsick were the four screws hold them together. Altogether its about 9mm shorter If I need it shorter still I could probably take 2mm more off the fan housing.

I have wanted to build this for a while, Only just started getting some parts. The Story so far, A good time ago, maybe a year or more, I picked up a fat PS3. It lasted about a month before kicking the bucket. Pretty sure it had both a dead MB and PSU, I tried fixing it several times but it eventually stopped responding altogether. I now have a slim (not super slim) so that's OK. Well I really liked the look of the Fat PS3 and so never got rid of it. I thought it would be cool to build a PC in it one day. A few months ago, I started looking at it seriously and worked out it should be quite possible, other people have done it so could I. 12-July-2019, I ordered a "MSI B450I Gaming Plus AC Motherboard" and a "AMD Ryzen 5 2600" 16-July-2019, the MB and CPU arrived. Tested the setup so far, all working. Set it in the PS3 Shell ? looking god so far. What I want from it. A very respectable gaming PC with the power to run RPCS3, to be very quiet and last but not least look good. So I need a nice CPU, a good GPU, and about 300w of power to run it. And all the rest to make it all work. So parts I still need, GPU PSU RAM Cooler Some 40mm and probably 60mm fans Cabling like USB, display and such. Peripherals? For the GPU it would be nice to get a 2060 like a "MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Aero ITX OC 6GB" but that is up there in price. ~$569 AU A 1660 is much cheaper at ~$359 AU and a 1050 TI is ~$219 For the PSU I'm thinking a "Mean Well 300W 12V" and a "300W pico" I don't want a external PSU, part of the "looking nice" thing. another option I saw was a 300W TFX from Silverstone or Seasonic but I would want to pull it apart and try and make it as low as possible to fit the GPU over the top. The "Mean Well" and "Pico" would be the smallest but about $45 AU more at ~$150. I'll be working on it as I get time, and getting more parts as I get spare cash. I'll post some pictures soon. Hi, Yes it dose work now, I'll update the original post to make that more plain to see. Yes I knew it should work as I had it working the day before when i was using Pop OS, It didn't work correctly out of the box With Mint 19.1. Now it dose with the updated kernel. It did sort of work with evdev, but RPCS3 didn't play with it very well. Out of the box Steam didn't recognize anything, Now that works too. I don't know enough to know if "hidraw" was working or not, I'm going with not. In my searches I did come across people saying to configure udev rules, like :/lib/udev/rules.d/99-ds4-controllers.rules I think there was another place as well. There was no 99-ds4-controllers.rules when I first looked and I made them myself that still didn't work. I did install the steam-devices package and that made no difference at the time. First off, apologies for everything I get wrong, category, name, spelling, you get the picture. My problem was, my ds4 was not working on Linux mint 19, I saw this in Steam and RPCS3. I knew everything should work and that it was software as I had just moved back to mint from Pop! (Sorry I like Cinnamon better) where everything had been working. Anyway after too many hours googling and getting no place, I updated the kernel and now it works. (USB and Bluetooth) So if you too are having trouble with your ds4 (or maybe ds3 as well) update your kernel. update manager -> View -> linux kernels See the warnings do a back up, yada yada Install the latest. update at your own risk (5.0.0-15. at time of writing) I hope this will help someone, sorry if you already new how to fix this...... I didn't. I wrote this because I saw no answer to my problem elsewhere, Just shearing the love Good night. TLDR: This is what got it working for me, Update your kernel, (I used 5.0.0-15.) Update at your own risk
