  1. Awesome! I've only had full size and tenkeyless, so I can't really say with certainty what my favorite keyboard size is. I definitely prefer the tenkeyless over full size. I've been itching for a poker 2 until I heard the 3 was coming out. I want to say that I would love the even smaller size, but I'm not sure how I will like certain keys like insert, delete and f keys only being accessible with modifiers.
  2. You did very little to make your case OP. If I were not already a believer you would not have converted me. That being said, I now use 450 DPI and I couldn't imagine using anything much higher. I use to use around 2000 for the longest time. When I was younger, I thought higher DPI meant I could be better at games because I could aim quicker, so I would always try to go higher. When I try using high DPI like that now, it just makes my wrist hurt. High DPI makes my arm tense up to try and be more precise. I use my wrist rather than my arm and not only am I not more precise, but my wrist ends up hurting. So, in short, use what is most comfortable to you.
  3. You'll probably be fine unless you trying to use some really power hungry fans. You would have to check the documentation on your motherboard to be sure, but most motherboard fan headers are good for about 1 amp.
  4. That is not true. Just for example, GTA IV and Skyrim run pretty well under Wine. Check WineHQ for reports on how well a game or program runs, if at all, under Wine. That being said, Wine is far from perfect. If your intent is to be the running the latest Windows games, you're better off running them in Windows.
  5. You might also want to check out Pitivi and Kdenlive.
  6. This popped up awhile ago: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/electricobjects/electric-objects-a-computer-made-for-art I don't think there's anything else like it out there yet and I doubt there will be anything like it anytime soon for under $100.
  7. I didn't know those were passively cooled. That would make a pretty cool media PC.
  8. What you want is called multiseat and it was recently discussed in this thread. Basically, what you want is not possible on a Windows host without commercial software. It is, however, possible for free using Xen or KVM on GNU/Linux.
  9. According to the Wiki page, it looks like Parralels is the only Windows alternative to Sandboxie for containers. I have no clue if it works with Windows 10, so you'll have to check that out for yourself. Just curious, what are you trying to do with two instances of steam? Update: It's doesn't look like Parralels supports Windows 10 yet. I somehow doubt they will until the retail release.
  10. This is pretty awesome. I might turn my current computer into a dedicated NAS and use the 6 core for my main computer. That would allow be to do some cool projects that I've been wanted to try out. Maybe setup KVM on the NAS and add a 2 port Intel NIC and running pfSense on the same computer. Oh gawd I have all kind of cool ideas I want to pursue. I could even add a TV tuner card and figure out a way to run MythTV on the same box. The downside is that I'd still have to buy all the other components which would probably end up being as much or more than the free CPU, so I'll probably just sell what I have and switch on over.
  11. No problem. To be fair, there is no forum search. I hope you find your answer in one of those threads I linked. I didn't actually read through them. Given how much the topic of anti virus is discussed, someone should probably make a nice FAQ for it and get it pinned.
  12. This question gets asked way too often. Here's all the threads asking your question in the first 10 pages: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/268686-free-not-bad-anti-virus/ http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/267753-free-virus-protection/ http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/267544-recommended-anti-virus-free/ http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/265619-free-antivirus/
