  1. Please stop SUV reviews or put warnings before the video, some of us are still in country spared by them or at least we were
  2. you should review some videos from your fellow countrymen
  3. Yes you can file complaint for stuff like this in EU countries, depends on each countries but most of the time you need to contact the company with a request for data deletion, if they don't comply with a satisfying answer within a month you file a complaint to your national organisation regulating online privacy (generally a online form, pretty quick to fill out)
  4. Not linus this time , a 6k subscriber channel i think it's a musician from belgium
  5. In the same way LMG channels were affected, but with another type content Nearly clicked the link as i was excited to be able to test the beta. Got the video in the first spot in my non subscribed feed... Youtube should not promote scam streams...
  6. I prefer having my data on my own network, i've forgot that i also needed an offsite backup ^^ I will put my old "server" at my parents house (so in the same time they also have place to store documents)
  7. Thank you for the response, i note your remark for the sandisk The main use is to store documents, so i don't need more than 250G (i don't think i'll write/read more than 5G a year, i'm not to worried about the limited cycles). I'm worried about the temperature, i've put 1 SSD inside in order to do some tests and it is sitting already at 40° at idle. I intend to run in RAID 1, the thing is, i want something that i hoppefully don't have to touch for the next 5-10 years I've just saw that i can't have disk taller than 9mm (so the wd red hdd is out ) my choices now are : - 2x 1T 5400rpm hard drives (wd blue/seagate barracuda) (120€) - 2x 250G consumer ssd (crucial or wd or kingston) (120€) - 2x Seagate IronWolf 110 SSD 250G (the most expensive one) (160€)
  8. Hello, I'm looking to setup a small NAS in order to backup securely documents scans on my home network. In the past, i've used a refurb pc and some 3,5" 1T hard drives (not rated for NAS use) with unraid but it's not efficient for my use and can be a bit loud (i live in a small appartement with no rooms). I don't want to spend money on an enclosure like a synology box. My ISP box have the possibility to house 4 2,5" disks and to setup them in RAID (and even deploy VMs on it ), i can't put my old hard drives in because they're too big. I have two old 250G SSDs (different models, one samsung, one sandisk) and i'm wondering if it is reliable enough or if i'm better off buying the cheapest 2,5" NAS rated hard drives, also the box is not very well ventilated. Thanks in advance for your advices
